How do you feel about obese people embracing their size

I think they should not embrace, but lose weight. It is unhealthy and can cause a lot of health problems such as diabetes and heart attacks.

I am a plus size woman (size 18). I am working on my weight because i was a size 22 after having my baby. I feel that my weight is unhealthy right now so that is why am working out and dieting. But I still embrace my size because i feel that no matter what size i am, i am beautiful, but there is always room for improvement. I am not going to down myself and have low self esteem because i am big. You still have to love yourself no matter what.

Thanks for the comment. I agree that you should love yourself if you are obese. But I don't agree with not doing anything about it and staying obese.

Not everyone can be the same size and that is good or it would be a boring old world suzieque. I think that possibly you are being a bit harsh because not everyone who is of a larger size has health problems. Some people just cannot lose weight at all, no matter how hard they try and in some cases their weight is because of health problems. Please think about it and how would you feel if someone said that you were anexoric just because you are of a smaller build?

As long as they are healthy. There's no problem with it. I love to hug fat people.

Who do you think you are telling me that I should not imbrace my size. God made me this way. And I have no health problems. I'm not a lazy person. I eat right. It's just the way God wanted me. So deal with it.

If the person that is obese is trully happy then at the end of the day it does'nt matter how we feel.

Obesity is not a healthy state and very few people, obese or not would argue that point but I do think we need to learn to love ourselves warts and all...that does not mean one should not continue trying to improve ones self

well i am a overweight woman..and i dont have high blood pressure or diabetes..and frankly i get tired of society telling me what i should or should not do with my body..i go on diets and i exercise..but excuse me if i am not going to spend 24 hours a day exercising to please people who cant embrace my image because it doesnt fit the media's translation of what beauty is.. ...we all die one day weather we spend 24 hrs a day in the gym..or none..I am who i am ..and who God intended me to be..and will be who he intended me to become..but it wont be because of my peers ...have a wonderful day :)

I gained 40 pounds when I settled down. I've lost 22 and I'm still working on it. I agree that people should do what is best for their health, but why is it anyone else's business or concern if a person is obese? People get too involved in everyone elses business.
