You have the upper hand in learning Japanese. Since there is Kanji. I have been trying to learn the language, but it varies. I hope to get a good grasp on it soon!

Well, just a little, because Chinese and Japanese both have characters, but they are different, different structures and meanings~~what's more is,the two language have totally dissimilar grammar systems.

I don't try learning Japanese yet. Majorities say that it's not that difficult to learn Japanese especially for Chinese as many of the Japanese words are converted from Chinese. Anyway, the easiness/ difficulties are basically on the language environment. I believe that you can grasp Japanese faster in Japan than in other non Japanese countries in the same time frame...

Well, I'm fond of anime and Japanese drama. I've been exposed to Japanese shows since I was 10 years old, so it became easy for me to learn the language. I'm not really fluent, but I know basic Japanese and I can read hiragana and katakana (i still have a long way for kanji). Japanese is one easy language for me since I love Japan :) I can survice if ever I go there as a tourist :D

Yeah right skyboy0707. Japanese is interesting but not difficult to learn. The only difficult to learn is thier kanji writing because there are thousands of characters you have to memorized. But if you will just notice, their language has a pattern. STPOVQ - subject + time + place + object + verb + question. And if you master this pattern you could easily learn thier language. Goodluck skyboy0707. :)

Well, I studied Japanese when I was in High School. It is one of the subjects that I have in High School.
Japanese is fun to learn, however, yes, it is hard to study especially they have different sentence structures.

Hi,
yeah, like the upper said, it's easy for Chinese people to learn,if you're not,it will be a little difficult. but to hard learners, there are no difficulties, just work hard.
and if you know some Korean language,it will be much easier for you to learn Japanese, for their grammer are so similar.

i think it would be a great challenge to learn japanese. i have a japanese friend, and he's teaching me some of their culture and words. though it's hard to remember everything, i think someday i will try to learn it. i find their language and culture very interesting.
