Hello from the Philippines I eat bread most of the time either for breakfast or dinner, there are many variations of here like Whole Wheat Bread, Milk (High-Calcium), Honey and Oats, Chocolate, Coffee Macaroon, Regular Pullman Bread, Ube or Mongo bread... The loaf of bread ranges between the price of 30pesos-45pesos The cheapest food available in our country are the instant noodles which is as heavy as a meal and costs like between 6pesos-12pesos

Philippines is not a costly place to live in. It is up to you on how you will budget your money. If you want to engage in an expesive restaurant we have so plenty here in the philippines but if your budget is too minimal then you can try some fastfood chain which is also abundant in the philippines. You can have lunch already for only 39-59 pesos. But if you are really budgeting your money too tight then you can try to eat in some street food which is the cheapest of them all.

A Gardenia Bonanza Jumbo Loaf of bread which consist about 28 pieces will cost about MYR2.80 at my place. My husband and I eat at least one loaf per month. Not to say that we buy one loaf and it will last us a month. But one loaf will last us about a week. We have bread for dinner. Although the price has gone up but it is still cheap compared to other food.

Hi divinchris. Here in Jamaica a loaf of bread cost approximately Ja$180. That is the aproximate equivalence of US$3.40 or $1.50 pounds. The present cost actually went up significantly during the hike in gas prices and as not been decreased since. Special loaves can go for as much as Ja$300 I believe. Those are huge breads though.

I am also from the USA and I agree with the prices that cream97 posted. If you buy really cheap white bread it is about .89 cents at some stores. If you like specialty breads and brand name breads, then it's closer to like $3 a loaf. I do like to eat bread. I have toast for breakfast a lot and sometimes sandwiches for lunch.

Hi divinchris, Here in the Philippines there are different kinds of bread. A wheat bread and the brand is gardenia may cost from 50-60 pesos. But we have this bread called Pan de sal just cost 20 pesos per piece. We sometimes eat that in the morning, and I can be full with 3 pieces of it. take care

hi! Is your friend eating alone, for the 300 pesos. or 300pesos is for the whole family. maybe she is eating in a restaurant that's why she spend that much. But if you are cooking at home 150-200 pesos will do. It can feed 3-5 persons already. take care

I am from India. Here bread costs about Rs 15 to Rs 20. I don't think that the cost of bread is very high here compared to the cost of other products. I don't eat bread very often. I take bread around two or three times a week.

Hi, divinchris! A loaf of bread may run you to 89 cents up to $2.79 from what I have seen. These prices can be in effect if you catch a sale or that is the final price. I think that their are other brands that run up to $3.40. That might be like a well known bread brand. I know I usually buy bread under $3.00.

The price of bread over here depends on the brand and type. If it's just white bread, a standard loaf of bread could cost anything from USD 0.50 - 0.80. If it is wholemeal or rye, or has apricot, nut, bran or stuff like that, it costs more than USD 1.00.
