Hey dear no you cannot request a best response, first thing is it will create a bad impression of you and second only one person can give you the best response and that is the owner of that discussion topic, but dont worry you will soon get best responses after you start crossing your 100's and response to the topics at your best ways..so try it.have a nice time and welcome to mylot.. :)

It is not about violating the rules but you should not ask for it.Sometimes the person will not give you a best response. You can write four to five lines quality discussions and people will automatically give you best response.I never ask for best responses. There are some discussions i must have written good still i don't get a best response

That is not going to be fair.
The best response should be chosen by the member who posted the discussion.

Yes you can and it is not a violation in the terms and guidelines. But you are just depicting its purpose by the name itself. And that also if there's someone who are willing to do that. Yet, I believe it is not just right to ask this because it serve no encouragement if you got it from asking someone and not from their own free will to reward you such.

i think some mylotters wait for sometime before marking the best response. it's because anybody can still post a response even after years. but, i think they wait for a week or so.
however, there is a sentiment that i would like to voice out. i wish some mylotters also answer some of the discussions we start. there is, at least, one that starts discussions at least more than 25x a day and i just think of responding to all of her discussions because she is listed as my friend and mylot automatically sends her discussions to me. however, she never had answered any of my discussions. i thought we're here as a community and community members help each other out.
