I am going to London this August. I wonder which places that should I visit while we are there. I know I will visit Tower Bridge, Buckingham palace, bing ben, etc.
Maybe you know about other interest places that I should visit and while you recommended that place? Because you were there before or because you heard from other people...

Hi julianarw! These are the places I visited when I was in London: Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The London Eye, British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Kensington Palace, Thames River. I think that if you get a ride on the Bus Tour, you will see more tourist places. I also went to Harrods and saw the shrine they put up in honor of Princess Diana. But I have done my shopping at Portobello Road. haha..Got a lot of bargains on souvenir shirts there.
Take care and have a great trip!

Hi, it depends on your interest. If you are interested in art or culture, then I would suggest you to visit places like British Museum, Tate Modern. If you like nature, then Kew Garden, St James Park or Greenwich will be the places you should go. If you want to experience London night lifestyle, then you should go Leicester Square, Convent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Tottenham Court Road. If you want to shop, then go to Oxford Circus or Trafalgar Square. Other interesting places you can visit are Kensington Palace, Hyde Park's Corner, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, London Eye. Or you can talk a walk at the Southwark along the River Thames.

I know London well but I haven't yet been on the London Eye. I hope to one day because it would give me an excellent view. I liked to go on a boat trip on the River Thames. I enjoyed riding on the Docklands Light Railway and managed to walk under the river through a path to Greenwich there is the Cully Sark and old sailing ship there. The Greenwich Meantime Museum there is fascinating. I think London has some lovely looking parks and my favorite is St James's Park. I liked to visit Trafalgar Square and the art gallery near there. I suggest a day trip out to Hampton Court Palace and another out to Kew Gardens. There is so much to see in London and you already have mentioned some of the key sights. The Tower of London is another suggestion I would like to add. Years ago I worked in London and then I visited it regularly until I moved. The weather will hopefully be lovely and warm in August this year.

I love going to the British Museum - it is one of the most interesting museum's I have ever been to. (some people though will also like to visit the Science Museum or Natural History Museum)
Covent Garden is always a good place to look around as it has unusual shopping and live music. Sometimes I just like to walk down Oxford and Regent Streets as there are a number fo wellknown shops down there
One thing I want to do but haven't so far is to visit the London Eye.

My dream is how to be able to go to London city where the big ben located, because in my country Indonesia especially in Bukittinggi town of west sumatra (one of big island in Indonesia) there is the same watch as the big ben in London, we call that watch as "JAM GADANG" so I want to know, if this "JAM GADANG" watch was bult by English colonial when they came to my town at that time?
