How do YOU beat Dark Link in OoT?

Dark Link is freakin tough. I usually have to beat him with Din's Fire, but I'm curious, how do you all beat him? He counters every attack that I've tried, so how do you land a hit? Is it timing, or a sequence of attacks?

I was never able to beat him until I got the Biggoron's Sword. I'm pretty sure he has a harder time dodging that one for some reason...I also used Din's Fire, but the Biggoron's Sword made it easier since it makes your reach lots longer. You're right though, Dark Link IS freakin tough. :D

What does OOT for zelda mean? I know there is a Dark link in the Second zelda game for nintendo although Ive never gotten to him. let me know thanks

Ocarina of Time, and you fight Dark Link in the water Temple, and believe you me, if you aren't using magic, or the Biggoron sword, it takes patience and perfect timing of power attacks.

just dont z target and since he copies your movent swing opposite for a while then turn and slash

this is the secrt to hitting shadow or dark link or what ever you want to call him...... ok nosice how dark link copys your evey movement dont use the sword just use your hammer and then he wont be able to copy your sowrd movement at that point dark link is complety useless......... hope this helps

I just keep attacking with the sword and occasionally he will try be able to be hit
