Mine are pierced. I pierced them myself when I was a teenager by using a sterlized needle and ice to numb my ears. My parents didn't know until afterwards, and they weren't happy about it.

I have had my ears pierced since I was a teenager. I have 3 holes in my left ear and 2 in my right. Yes, I know but it was the 80's. I rarely wear earrings though because I work with small children and they love to pull them out.
