pacquiao and the network rivalries

Hi, Rivalry between the big networks never ends. Advisers of Pacquiao didn't studied very well the contracts. It is not just Pacquiao. I'm sure the people around them or his manager forgot to understand the contract. I don't know if Abs-Cbn knew about the contract, or have seen the contract. But I am just thinking that this is just publicity, just creating some noise because the fight is getting near. take care

Probably he is just manipulated by someone handling him. He was just nodding or saying no i guess. But the fact that he breach the contract if ABS will really handle the airing of his fight with Hatton, then he will be in mess. I think that GMA is reminding him about the contract he signed with them but ABS is saying that he is not violating any law so they are encouraging him to continue. But then GMA said that it is not regarding who produced the show, but his contract is prohibiting him to appear in any show,promotion, or event of another broadcast media entity other than GMA. So i guess this statement settles it right. So it is his decision. Happy Mylotting!

Well I guess Pacquiao has already gave in with Solar and MA to avoid a costly legal battle for him. I think he was ill advised when he transferred to ABS. I think this issue has been settled he will stay with his original contract.

i heard Joey de Leon saying something about this on TV. i dont think that pacquiao is that intelligent, so i guess he did something that he has not mucj knowledge about. i know this will be resolved but i guess ABS CBN atleast ask or researched first before letting pacquiao something like this that will cost a fued from the other network.

yeah. he might not be violating any contract if in case it is true. but he was given those shows in GMA 7 for the reason that the station was interested in getting all of his future boxing fights. i think that pacquiao knows this. and pacquaio before didn't any more accepted ABS CBS because the station didn't agree for the price. and GMA was the only station who agreed to pay him the amount he demanded. and now maybe ABS CBN decided to top the current price of GMA for them to have again the pacquiao fight, and pacquaio without thinking accepted ABS CBN offer. but how would pacquiao work again with GMA on their shows if he had created or made some decision like this created some rift on the relationship. it is as if he is telling the station it is not good enough for the money they pay him and has to transfer or sell his fight to another station while he still interested to continue with the show in GMA just because of money and nothing else. i don't see any wrong legally but it will show what kind of person he is. like he does not care about showing gratitude to a station that helped him earned a lot before. i think our beliefs or say on this one will depend on what station we are sided on or loyal to. cause i am more to gma7 actually. though i watch shows on both stations. so i guess i am biased. but i still think that i have given a fair comment about this.

It's now solved. MP's camp realized that they will be violating Solar Contract but even GMA's as well. So the May 2 bout will be covered by Solar to be aired on GMA. It's clear that Manny was a little bit lost about his contracts. It's either he is hard headed or had a bad adviser and a stupid lawyer. On one hand, maybe there are just other people who can't let go of Manny that they will move heaven and earth just to have the boxer back in their station.

Well, I think Pacquiao didn't act on pure impulse. Come on guys, he's a millionaire! I bet he has at least 2 lawyers that takes care of legal matters for him. I'm not defending him or anything, but I think he wouldn't have acted the way he did had it not been for certain reasons that would somehow infringe the contract. Pacquiao stated that Solar Sports has a huge debt to him. I'm not a lawyer nor do I have extensive knowledge regarding the Philippine Law, but wouldn't that somehow breach their contract?

Hello, Im a Big Fan of Pacquiao. I think he really thinks that he is very powerful in our country thats why even breaking the rules, he thinks he can win it in any way. But in this case, i think he can still solve this. But according to the news, they haven't breached any other contracts. Let's just see what will happen this coming few days. But im really excited for his coming fight against hatton.
