If your spouse or someone in the family or friends compliment the other person, especially of the same gender, maybe in the way they look, the work they do, they way they keep fit , etc. Would you feel jealous? Will your feelings towards the complimented person change? Would you try harder to compete with that person? Do share your previous experiences.

Oh, nikky dear...jealousy has no room for a person who truly loves...jealousy has no room in my heart. Me and my husband both give compliments to other people. That is just natural. We don't try to compete with anybody. We just give out our best in everything that we do. We live a happy, blessed life. God brought us together, we are binded by our love for each other, and for us that's enough security.
ok nikky, keep asking questions i could relate to. This can be another page in "my book", eh? ^_^

No i do not feel Jealous if my husband compliments someone else. and why would my feelings toward that person change. I am who i am, and i would never try to compete with some one else for my husbands compliments, i know that he loves me just the way i am.

it's not nice when i see another woman's husband commenting something that has anything to do with looks that belongs to another woman. i wouldn't turn the tables around and do it to my husband. so, i think it is the lowest form of human being to compare his better half to another woman based on looks.
that goes the same with work performance or with anything. i couldn't imagine my father doing that to my mother or my mother doing that to my father.
would that spark my competitive spirit? no. it would spark a fight.
happy mylotting! :)

Yeah...kinda especially when that person doesn't notice the good things I've done. On the other hand, she considers the good things others had done...I'm quite unlucky to have her but still I enjoy her company
