Does your mom's tear mean a lot to you?
Years ago, when i went to elemental school, I was almost late for lessons all the time always daydreaming in the class till I didn't even know the lesson was gone. Then my mom always told me "never ever be lazy again". She tried and tried but all her efforts were of no avail. One day, sobs shook my mom's frame. My childlike innocence suddenly couldn't take that! So, as the days went on and on i sort of grew up as a whiz kid and almost in top position in the class most of the time. Well, there was a generation gap between my mom and I. However, once she cried, I would like to listen to her even though I felt very hard.
I guess most Chinese children will do this.

OMG, I can't stand to see her cry...and she knows it. I'd rather be stood in the street naked and horsewhipped then to see her cry. Talk about having your heart shredded. I've only seen her cry a couple times in my life and it's burned into my memories.

I grew up witnessing my Mother's tears more times than I care to remember to be honest and it did used to affect me deeply very much. As young children, we see our parents as these powerhouses that can deal with anything, so witnessing a parent cry for the first time can actually be quite confusing. The sad thing about it all though is that over time I found myself becoming somewhat numb to it because it was such a regular occurence. These days, if my Mother was to cry, then I'd try to be comforting and understanding for her. I haven't seen my Mum for some years now though as I'm overseas working at the moment.

I have seen my mom cry. Its devastating to me to see my mother cry. I will always try and make her feel better. She would be there for me if I was upset. I will certainly be there for her
