In China, most people, especially young people use QQ,not MSN as their IM tool, just like me.Every chinese young people has at least 1 QQ account,so we can chat freely with QQ,you can even add strangers as friends,as long as their QQ are on-line.QQ is powerful,it also provides some very interesting games and some other kinds of service.QQ has the largest amount users int the world ,compared to other IM tools.

Skype, ICQ and Yahoo! Messenger are some of the instant messaging client that are popular and being utilized here in the Philippines. I like using Yahoo! Messenger rather than Skype nor ICQ. Been using it for years now. QQ is really popular in China. And yes, just like the other instant messaging tools, QQ has lots of useful features but also has lots of disadvantages too. And one of these disadvantages, according to some sites, is that QQ is not well-upgraded.

I remember a few years ago, AIM was a big deal. Not so much now, I've really seen a decline in people who ask me "Do you have AIM?" Nowadays it's, "Do you have MSN?" I don't think MSN is very popular here in the USA, though, not as much as Y! (correct me if I'm wrong) I chat with a lot of people in different countries, therefore MSN is the univerals IM tool for me, because almost EVERYONE has it. I think AIM is falling off quickly. So is Y!, well, for me at least.
