What was the top speed you ever had playing Need for Speed?

I was really amazed when I came across a feature about games on Yahoo, the article was about the Guinness World Records in Games. What caught my eyes at was the record made by a player his name I can't remember well it sounded like a Russian name, made a Need for Speed Underground Top speed of 435.7 mph, using a Ford GT car. Wonderful and amazing indeed, I wonder how he did that, but have you had any top speed record you made playing this game or any game of Need for Speed. Share it and tell us how did you do it.

435? I find that impossible, but I think that the tuning may have a large part to deal with that. If you look at the section, I believe their is acceleration and top speed, so I think he maximized the values in each of those categories to reach that blistering of a speed. It must of taken him hours to get the perfect launch and get a perfectly straight road. By the way, do you guys drive in manual? I believe it gives you the most enjoyment.

Wow thats nice, you have mad skills in driving then. In real thats would be a thrill ride, keep it up. I have never broke the 300 mph mark yet though am trying, hope to break on it sooner or later. Anyway, what is your favorite car then in the game. Thanks for your response.

first off this is by far one of my favorite games. i love racing games. there is a little glitch that you can do that will make your top speed never end. i have been up to the thousands before. if you know how to get under the map that is how you can reach that speed. but on top driving around using the same car as did that player you posted i have only hit 315mph.

Well its kinda crazy really on how that fellow from Russia did that top speed. I never had a chance to come close to 300 mph just driving around the circuit. He really had mad skills to pull that off. Anyway, whats is your best and favorite car you ever tuned in Need For Speed Underground. Thanks for your response.

i reached a max of 405 km/hr in the game using a dodge viper srt10 .. awesome car twas
