DO YOU THINK PITTBULLS SHOULD BE BANNED ???

I don't think theyshould be banned. People make them sounds like such horrible animals. Any dog can attack anyone . . .I know, I was attacked my a freakin poodle. I am a firm believer that it's not the dog, it's the owner and how they raie the dog. Now granted, I would no trust one that was from the ound or something like that and was older because then you would have no idea how they were raised. I would suggest getting one as a puupy. But I do love pits, my sister has a pit' black lab mix and she is by far the sweetest thing I've ever met!

All dogs, whether they are pit bull or anything else, will behave erractically when they are not treated like dogs. People tend to treat their dogs like people, and not as the pack animals they are. A dog that is confused and neurotic will misbehave everyttime. I HIGHLY recommend that everyone take a look at National Geographic's show The Dog Whisperer. Carlos Millan grew up with dogs, worked with dogs and understands dog psychology. Pitt Bulls are very misunderstood, and the most neurotic when not living their lives AS DOGS. I don't know about you but I think these dogs are not only vicious blood-seeking animals, they are pretty ugly. Why should we be keeping them around. My favorite kind of dog is the yorkshire terrier. Wouldn't you prefer one of these?:

i definetly dont think they should be banned, i dont own one myself but know many people who do and they seem to be nice dogs (i happen to be fans of labs and shepards myself) but i do think they should have muzzles on when there in public, i realize that any dog can bite and do harm and even repeatedly bite and attack but im pretty sure when a pitbull bites its jaw locks and from that point on any move it makes is tearing a person to shreds, im not proficient in my knowledge of pitbulls only know limited amounts (and most of it from bad media) so i welcome your response if you dont agree with what i have said or if what i said isnt completely correct i dont want to be perpetrating the bad image they have by giving knowledge that isnt complete

MY NEIGHBORS PITTBULL BROKE FREE OF ITS CHAIN AND CAME OVER TO MY HOUSE AND ATTACKED AND BIT MY LIL COUSIN WHO IS 4 YRS. OLD.....FOR NO DAMN REASON....DO I THINK THEY SHOULD BE BANNED? OF COURSE....NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE OWNER TRIES TO TAKE CARE OF THEM IT IS IN THEM TO BE BAD....

NO I don't think they should be banned any dog can bite I think it goes on the way there are treated. They should be cage not left to rome anywhere.

I don't think so. I think the people that raise them to be mean should be punished. My grandparents had one when we were growning up and he was a very nice dog. I had a dog that was a german shepard and she was mean. I got her from a shelter. I think it depends on the dog and how they were raised.

I dont think they should be banned. My pitt is 1 years old an he is the most loving an caring dog i have ever had. It is the way you raise your animal. Some people dont have no sence when it comes to pitts. My boy is faithful an kind to my children.

No, I don't think that pittbuls should be banned. But the people who are making fightmachines of them should be banned. It's not the fault of the dogs.

No I don't think pit bulls should be banned. I have a pit bull and a chihuahua. They are the best of friends. Pit bulls are so gentle and loving. If they are going to try and ban pit bulls lets be fair and look at all the other breeds that bite and attack people that you don't hear about. My son was bit by a Lab. Any dog can turn and attack an owner or another animal.

I guess some pitbull in California i think chewed off the toes of a little baby. That's disgusting and I think that dog should be put down but I don't think all pitbulls are mean. I mean, I've never met a nice pitbull though.

My two pitbulls are the most loving things in the world. They should not be banned. The people who treat them bad should be banned.

Yes, I think it should be banned... Pitbull have a "Killer" nature.. Yeah, if you take a good care of him it could be a good dog, but few peoples do it... People buy Pitbulls to protect their houses, not to create like the other dogs...
