I commenting on responses to one of my discussions (you know... catching up) when I realized something strange.
All along (before today) there were 29 responses to my discussion but now there's only 28. I have gone through the routine of shaking my head and trying to figure out if I am seeing things but no... I am sure I am right.
Have you had this experience before?
If a response was removed from the discussion I wonder why it was. I did not get to read through all the responses but the topic called for nothing offensive so I am a bit baffled.
I don't know
. Can any of you fellow mylotters explain this Mylot phenomenon?

Nothing strange is happening.
It is all very logical.
Could be that
- the response which is now missing was violating the rules here (maybe it had a link in it) or
- the user who responded has lost his/her account and all the posts too, including that response.
Many things get deleted which we are never aware of but every day it happens.

Seems you guys are having a ball challenging each other.
I know about the violation rules and have always seen other mylotters ask posters not to place a referral link in their discussion but have never paid it much mind.
I avoid discussions with links almost entirely and as far as I can remember have not had problems with persons placing referral links in my discussions.
Guess there's a first for everything. Thanks mysdiant.

Hello Tjades, don't get baffled because this is just normal here, i myself can attest to that because most of my response get deleted specially when i first joined in because i used to answer with one liner only.
One mylotter told me that they delete one liner answer here, we should construct our sentence more than three paragraph if possible and should elaborate it so that we wont get any deletions.
Aside from that, some of the forums here are deleted specially if they disobeyed Mylot rules and probably along the way someone must have posted a referral link, so the whole discussion was deleted. If you think that someone already posted a referral, then don't participate on that discussion anymore because it will be just a waste.

Hi strawberry.
I haven't lost much here due to stuff being deleted but I know it happens. I remember my earlier days when a discussion I participated in got deleted due to the nature of it I guess.
Its possible I could have lost more but have not noticed it before then.

Hey even I had the same problem twice but I don't know why it happened may be because that comment got deleted by my lot due to some reason. I was wondering the same way like you are doing now but its nothing to worry. I had 31 responses and later it started showing only 30. I thought maybe i saw it wrong but when it happened for the second time I was confirmed it happens.

Somebody was naughty. You are lucky they did not delete the whole thread which I have heard happens. Posters cannot delete their own posts so it had to have been done by myLot.

Yes dear dont get oanic its just you will notice this here in mylot, it happens because the responses which you gave earlier any of the owners of the discussions topic may have delete the reponse or the whole topic, thats why it gets less from you account too. you will also notice sometimes your earnings may decrease with 1 or 2 cents just because of same reason. even your star ratings do affect because some of your rivals may give you continous negative markings, so be very carefull not to make any enemy here, rest just keep on discusing you will earn a lot...take care

Apparently their was a violation with a referral link Archie.
I really have not paid much attention to star rating and all that but have realized a few discrepancies a bit more than a couple of times with my earnings. Never really questioned it though.
Thanks for the info.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

That is not strange at all. It happens all the time. You just happen to notice it. Someone probably had their account banned and all of their posts were removed for some reason. After awhile, you will get used to this type of thing occurring.

I think its possible that the admin had deleted some responses to your discussion possibly someone have reported it as an abuse. Or i think it could also be possible that someone requested mylot to remove response in your discussion. I think those are just the possibilities that i can think of.

It happens when one of the responses is not what it should be. If the response is out of topic or is against the rules and TOS, then it is removed. This is a very huge problem and sometimes the whole discussion is removed, although not because of the response. Its good that such things are automatically taken care of.

Perhaps it was a rude post that you had not viewed yet, and one of your readers reported them.

Sorry about the second identical post. myLot was giving out error messages last night and was not connecting. I had written a bunch of replies that did not go through so I just left them on my computer and waited until this morning to send them. I had no idea the first reply had gone through.

Hello friend.
As lot of people already said, it happens when people post a response that violates the myLot TOS, like posting a referral link. In the past happened that the entire discussion was removed for this reason, so if you lose only a response or two in your discussions is really ok ;)
