Looking for a Dog

I had to have my dog put down almost a year ago and I am now looking to get another one. My last dog was a Yellow lab - but I am now looking at getting a put. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated - I have done my research but I would like to hear from anyone who has one. I have three young grandchildren so I want a dog that gets along well with children. Also I look like to know what they're like for travelling by car. Thanks for any help. Looking forward to hearing from you - By the way I don't want a dog that is too big. If you know of any other breed that is great with children let me know. bajangal

We always had cocker spaniels growing up and they were always sweet dogs. I would also suggest instead of buying a breed, you could adopt one from Petfinder.com. Many dogs and cats are put down each year because they can't find homes.

Yes I give you some informations and my opinions. So at first you have to buy young dog about 2-3 months old because if you buy older one for example 2 years old it will be hard to learn him some habits and something new.I don't know what kind of dog you want but my favourites are Labs and Goldens (I have one golden as you can see on my Avatar picture). But you have to choose your favourite one because it will be your dog and anyway it really doesn't matter:)
