Volcanoes offer a portentous sight, even beautiful, but sometimes can be dangerous and some even say are to be blame for some type of cancerss; Would you live near a Volcano?

hi there eztuner, I live volcanoe Country. And its save, but not too close. The Krakatoa Is the most active until now. But some of the mountains in Jawa island also a warning. Near the volcanoe, they make a examine centre to see the whole activity of the mountain,..and they will tell the people around for a warning situations. My home about different city from the nearest volcanoe but we still sometime can feel the earth quake from the explosion. happy postinga always oxox'dian from bali island.

I don't think I would want to live near a volcano. I know they don't go off very often, and I'm sure we'd get warnings before it would happen, but I would still be nervous! I would probably just stay away from those areas, because even though we could always evacuate in case of emergency, I would hate to have to leave our home behind if it ever happened, and especially if it would be possible for us to lose everything. I would rather just play it safe! I wouldn't mind visiting a volcano on a vacation, but I wouldn't want to live right there.

Well, there aren't any active volcanos in Texas, but I'd love to visit one, I'd probably live near one, but if it became active, I, for one, would be collecting my stuff and getting outta "Dodge!"

I live in Washington State and St Helens is less than 2 hours away. I got to see what the volcano did when we drove up in 1993. There is a road and you go around a corner and the trees were completly flat. I wouldn't want to live in the blast zone though.
