I tend to throw my old clothes away because by the time I quit wearing them they tend to be pretty beat up. I like clothes but after awhile they do not look so hot.
I think that clothes should not be worn time after time after time. It is not the right thing to have happen.

What my mother did while I was growing up was give it to less fortunate people. I got used to that idea, so I gave it to people who had the same size, would want to wear it and would want to have it.

Lately though, with the economy. That is hard to do when you haven't gone shopping as much, how can you give away your clothes, right?

The economy is very bad that is why it is important to donate what we do not use

Our church has a Rescue Mission so when we have clothes that we don't wear anymore, we give them to the Mission for the homeless and the Womens's shelter. We always make sure they are nice and not ragged. If they are ragged, we either throw them out or use them for rags.

Hi corona , I've given old clothing to some of the local people here . They were happy to take them , and handed them out to others who could wear them.
I know I like recieving second hand items , so I try to give what I no longer need , to make someone else happy.

My clothes i always give away to the less fortunate families out there. My boyfriends family doesnt have alot so he has a sister about my size and i give everything to her that i dont use even lotion or shower gel, she doesnt mind what it is she uses everything and i always see her in my clothes so it makes me feel good that i know she can wear them. I have given her makeup, make up bags, purses, socks and so much. I even see his mom wearing some of the stuff that i give. It feels good to give away things to people who arent as fortunate as my family is.

If it is a name brand and still in good condition I will sell it on Ebay. All my other clothes I give to a charity called the Kidney Foundation. They do pick ups so I don't have to worry about taking it to a drop box.

Most of the time I donate mine and my husbands. The kids donate some of theirs and then with the other they take them into consignment shops to trade for other clothes or toys or whatever they want really, I let them pick when they trade their stuff. There are a few donation containers around our area. We also donate the old halloween costumes and dress up clothes to the school for the headstart classes or preschools because they use them to encourage imagination play, etc.

We also have those donation boxes around they are very covenant to drop things off.We belong to a few online trading sites were you can trade buy or sell from this is good because you can always find something and make a little extra money the only bad thing is you have to pay for shipping.

I donate a lot of clothes to our local ministry that has a resale shop. I donate a lot of household goods as well as books and other things that are of use to others. Sadly, there are some clothes that are too well worn to do anyone any good. So those I throw away. I even shop in the ministry's resale shop as I find many nice things there. I guess it is a form of trading or recycling for me.
I also give clothes and other items away directly to people who I know need the items. That is fun. I get to see the joy in the person's eyes. It makes me feel good to help others.

I do donate my old cloths to good will, salvation army, churchs, places where battered women can get some use out of them. I think it is only fair that I do that with these cloths. I am blessed to have what I have and it is only right that I give the cloths that I can no longer wear to someone who can get some use out of the cloths.

W have two churches in our home town, we send our clothes there and the people there distribute them among the poor ones in the church, other than that, if i find anyone knocking at my door for want of money, i just give them cloth and food and not money

i pass my old shoes and clothes to my younger sisters. sometimes we give our old shoes/clothes/blanket/appliances to our less fortunate relatives specially those in the provinces. they really appreciate it. and it really feels great when they used it or wear it when they visit us.
hehehe happy mylotting..

I usually give my old clothes to my cousins in the province. I do it almost quarterly to free up some space in my cabinet. It also makes me feel good since all of them are very happy whenever I do this.

I try my hardest to donate my old clothes to GoodWill, but most of the time my clothes are so worn out I feel bad let even a homeless person have them. I can't decide if that is a warrented feeling or not, but I don't want to see GoodWill as a trash recepticle.
