My grandma called it "fidgiting" and it's proven that people who fidget are thinner than those who don't. I think it's just our natural need to be on the move that makes us do that. If I'm busy at the computer I don't fidget but when watching a movie I'll swing my foot or bounce it up and down. When I'm reading, the same thing.

hi sameroad, nice question ha. i am a feet shaker too especially when i am bored
i guess boredom is the reason why people shake their legs. i noticed that too while i am waiting to be asleep, i shake my feet. later on it becomes a hobby and a manerism. it becomes a habit also that everytime you keep on shaking your feet.

I remember kids always doing that in high school and it would shake the entire floor, it use to drive me nuts! LOL I am not a leg shaker. I'm not exactly sure why you do it, maybe it's nerves? You're nervous? Maybe bored? Everyone has something they do in those situations. I don't know, just a guess!
