Yes I've made friends online. One in particular I've been friends with for about 7 years. Even though we've never met in person, I consider him to be one of my closest friends. I think it's just easier to open up to people online and is therefore easier for me to make friends online than in person.

I met my wife through the Internet. We conversed for several years before actually meeting. The Internet was simpler, because we lived in different countries at the time. We`ve now been married almost 2 years and have lived in both countries (I`m now in hers). I also have several great friends whom I`ve never met in person, but have conversed extensively on the Internet.

Very well said, Vlad. Our relationship was truly unique. I don't think anyone in my family or yours was expecting it, but in the long run, I know they were all glad it happened....even some of our biggest critics, and you know the people to whom I refer.

Yes, I've made lots of friends on the internet. I met a lot of them through language learning websites, but somehow have met a few other people over the years. I wouldn't say you get the same kind of relationship as you would with a person face-to-face, of course, but that doesn't mean you can't be friends, and meet and chat with interesting people around the country, or even the world.
