Do you click on a referral link?

People today seem to hate referral links. On another website, I posted my referral link and people said it was a scam because it had a referral link on it. What?
This question can also mean: Do you want your account to have a referral?
Personally, I don't want a referral. Whenever I see a referral link, I just copy the root website and paste it to the browser so that I no referral can benefit from me when I register. Do you also do this?

yes; I don't want a referral unless it's from someone I know well such as friends and family.

Friend referral means who refer's you. When ever some body refers us then we should think that he is give some information to earn or others and if the information is useful and productive then we have to join under his/her referral link.
i have joined my sites which are paying me and i join 90 % of sites via referral links.
"Because they gave me idea to earn ,so its my duty to join under there referral link"

I don't mind referral if the site actually pays me money, I think it's kinda mean to simply go to the website yourself and join the site; you might have not even known the site existed if it wasn't for that person letting you know about it, and I think simply for that then they deserve the referral points; you refer people all the time and you don't even know it ; if you see a good movie and you tell your friends about and see it who do you think benefits from that? The movie and all the people who participated in making it.It doesn't bother me but I guess to each their own.

So, you don't have any direct referral? Never tried to convince a friend to register in a site as your referral? You just buy or rent referrals is that it? I don't see what's wrong about being someone's referral, as you can also have several referrals and earn from them. It's fair you get paid for your referrals because you are bringing a new member to the site and they win with that. It's like a commission. Sometimes I also exchange referrals. Someone registers in one of my sites and I register in one of his. Everyone wins.

You cannot escape from being someone's referral. If you don't sign up with a referral link, you will be sold. Is that better? (Many sites sell referrals like you for some price. That site gets benefit from you, and you get what?)
And with the advanced cookie tracking system and IP tracking system (this isn't popular yet), you cannot escape from your referrer, unless you decide not to join.
If you know the person, at least you can get some help and guidance. Otherwise, you fight alone.
I never bother about being someone's referral. If it is my friend, I'd be happy to be his referral.

I am able to see many of the members are here with the though as like you. OK.This is your right. As you don't like to other people make use of, if you are generous and decent you should not make use of their referral link in any way and why should you copy only the root website from their link...You want to get benefit from others ..But you will not all others to get benefit of you.. You search at your own for sites and other things... sorry to say ..its of no use to be a member of such community like mylot, as there is not at all any use by having people like you for such community sites.. Try to understand the basic principle involved in such community sites... I AM NOT MENTIONING THIS ONLY FOR THE INDIVIDUAL 'yAks89' BUT TO ALL WHO ARE HAVING SAME THOUGHT'. Please understand I am not telling this to hurt you. The purpose of such community sites are getting wasted by doing so.. I don't like to proceed further...I will not respond further even if you comment any thing. YOU MAY REPORT THIS IS ABUSE if you feel and want and I let the other members to decide. If I receive comments from the most of other members as my view is not correct, I am ready to leave myLot...Thanks

yes i too usually copy paste the main domain.well when it comes to me i always hope somebody will become my referral.an exchange policy is a good one to increase referrals.i become someone elses referral and he in turn becomes my referral.it is really useful.i may sound bias but i love referrals when they become mine but i don't want to become others'.
