My son is watching much cartoons (like Spiderman, Superman, Batman and all kind of those 'Man's) Often he believes them to be real.
I'm just trying to make him not believe those characters. He's bit improved now.
Is it normal for a child in the age of 9? How do you manage?

It is normal for a child to watch cartoons at the age of 9 . Just tell him that the
characters are not real and how these films are made. If he does not believe at this
stage, don't take it serious. . I think after some two or three years , he will realize
that cartoons are not real.

Explain to him that its not real, but its ok for him to imagine these things. As a parent I would never discourage my children from imagining things, or make believing things. I think its a beautiful thing. I love watching them play with their toys and come up with scenarios, its quite amazing to hear some of the things that they come up with. Thats when you realize just how much children do pay attention to the real world.

As long as you explain its just make believe it'll be fine..children have very vivid imaginations and like to play pretend..its actually good for them...So as long as he is just playing and not really believing he can shoot webs, scale walls, fly etc etc then I see nothing wrong wiht it at all

Hi
I think it is normal, becouse childs mind is like a white paper and they beleive what they see and hear. We can help him to differentiate between real and reel.
I think when they watch any cartoons or any film they think its real. We have to tell them its just a entertainer not real.
