In my home country it is Mother's Day. It is Sunday 22nd March 2009. I got a beautiful Mother's Day card and some flowers. I am going to take my mother out for tea at a garden center this afternoon. It is a lovely sunny day and it is fairly warm. In just a few more days on 25th March it will be my mother's birthday. It must be wonderful to have a birthday in the spring time.
Do you have Mother's Day in your home country?
If so which when it is?
Do you have any important family dates close together?

Yes, we do over here in China and it is getting commercialized too and an opportunity for merchants to make some money. I am getting one too, haha. I am getting a special song done up and creating a slide-show with pics of my mother and creating something like a life story. This would be meaningful and also allow her to remember the good times too. I am approaching a professional team at www.my-song.ca for help on this to create the perfect gift for me as i need them to help me with the song lyrics.

My son's birthday is 21st March, my friend. Not only was he born on 21st March, but it was Mothers' Day that year, and the clocks went forward by an hour, so he's a real spring child.
I went to this son's home on Mothers' Day for dinner and tea. He cooked the dinner, with the girls' help and it wasn't at all bad. It also gave my daughter-in-law a rest. He presented me with a huge bunch of forty roses in yellow, coral and peach colours, and a lovely, "Forever Friends" card. My other son sent me a card but wasn't in a position to visit or give me a gift. The card means a lot to me anyway. I had a lovely day and I hope you enjoyed your time at the Garden Centre with your Mum. I hope too that she had a lovely birthday yesterday.
Brightest Blessings my friend.

In 1972 (the year I was born) Mother's Day was on the 14th of May (it moves around from year to year because it is the second Sunday in May. I was born on the 15th... my mother just couldn't get me out fast enough! I have always been her Mother's Day present though! Awww...
:)
Thanks
Zelo

I can say that the culture is different everywhere, but the love to mom is the same all over the world. I hope you will have a happy Mother's Day because I know you are also a mom. And in fact you are a great mom who takes good care of your child. I know it is much more difficult than others. I think here we follow the culture of foreign countries. We regard the second Sunday of May as the Mother's Day.
I love China

I was still in Florida on Mothers day this year - we flew back on the Monday and arrived home Tuesday. As a late mothers day present and a way of saying thank you for looking after our dogs whilst we were away we are going to take my mum out for a meal! x

Hello max,
Have a wonderful time with your mother. I'm sure wou both will enjoy it. Mother's Day in Rhailand is August, 8. Which is The Queens birthday. In Australia it's on the second Sunday in May. Incidently, Father's dDay in Australia is the first Sunday in September, and my poor late mother's birthday was on September, 2, which often fell on Father's Day.

It's funny how we from different countries, celebrate the same holidays but on different
dates. It isn;t mother's day here in Canada till the second Sunday in May, which is
May 10th this year.
You have your mother;s day way before we do. What country do you live in? I guess I can
just go to your profile page to see but I am lazy, hehe, and too busy posting right now.
Well, Happy Mothers day my friend and I hope you enjoy the day with your mother. I am sure
she will appriciate the flowers and card. Do you have any kids yet and if so are they
celebrating it with you too.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Have a good mylotting day, Chris

Mothers day is celebrated in the Philippines every second sunday of May. When my mom was still alive we always have lunch together at their house. She always prepare our favorite "palabok". I always give her simple gifts on Mother's day, either a card or a bouquet of flowers.
