Anyone Over ten going to watch the new Dragon Ball movie?

Well Dragon Ball was my second favorite childhood Anime, right next to Dragon Ball Z. today was the first time I saw a commercial for the new "Dragon ball Evolution" live action movie and I thought this could only end in a horrible fiery disaster. Honestly it does not look like it is true to the storyline. But since I'm a huge fan of the anime, I owe it to myself to check it out. Anyone else going to bother?

Well that's terrible. When the creator of the show questions the integrity of the movie, you know somethings wrong... kind of makes me not want to see it now... kind of. Call it morbid curiosity!

Hmm well from what i've heard (from people in Japan who watched the jap sub ofthe movie), it was horrible. I might check this movie out once it reaches the Western side only if there are no other movies out. (movies right now have been crap, like superhero move, epic movie, meet the spartans, seriously? do you need to add the word movie to the title of the movie)
At the very very end of the movie, it signified a SEQUEL!!!!!! oh noes. Cant spoil anything

I thought the movies you listed were all parodies. Not that it means much, just that they try to ride the success of good movies by making fun of them (Which in my opinion is a bad business practice). I can't say that the Japanese not liking it is a good sign...

i wish there was an edit post button so i dont have to double post but yes those are parody movies, that sucked, maybe i laughed once or twice
Some other movies for horrible (in my opinion) like Alien vs Preditor 2, The new Indiana Jones movie (i havent watched it but ppl said it sucked), love guru

I grew up with Dragon Ball too. I watch it every weekend when I was in junior school. I've watched the movie last week. I heard it's bad but in the end I still decide to watch it just because it's Dragon Ball.
It's worse than expected. It's very bad. One of the worst movies I've watched. If I compare to the anime, I would say this movie is thrash. Even as a standalone movie, it's bad.

Im a big fan of Dragonball and Dragonball Z, been watching it since it came on GMA 7 here in the Philippines but I wouldn't see this movie even if its called dragonball, Fox really messed up big time on this movie. It is like that cheezy Streetfighter movie with Van damme only much much much worse.

saw it wasn't impressed with it though. LOL they did it in a teenage setting. Though I have to say the Kamahamaha wasn't to bad.....

I think i will watch it when the movie released. I am curious about how the live action version for Dragon Ball. I am a big fans of this comics when i was child. So whatever use this comic as a background story, i will watch it whether it is good or bad ^_^

I am really a fan of dragon ball.So i am easily attracted to see the fiim.But i am very dispointed for it.It is really boring.Though still love the anime ,haha !

i'll watch it when it gets to cable-moviehouse is too expensive nowadays.
i saw the commercial last night,and i was like "live action?oh.. boy".
some things just don't translate well.hopefully they don't ruin it.
