hi, mylotters! i guess most of us wanna a balance between work and life. we have to work to earn money and feed our family, but on the other hand, we really don't wanna be buckled under the excessive demands of work. however, many people around me is a workholic who always stay up late and end up having many health problems. Recently i heard one piece of news that a young IT guy died suddenly on the way to work due to years of stessfully working. and that was really a pity. for me, no matter how busy i am, i always squeeze in for staying with my family or close friends.
so my fellows, how do u get along with ur work and life? can u make balance well between them?

in my opinion working and enjoying life should be one of the same,
I love what I do as I work for myself but I have also worked for other people previously,
and to be honest if I ever stopped enjoying my job I would leave and find a job I enjoyed.
The way I see it is you can work for a company but if you dont enjoy the work theres no point in you working there
theres far too many people in this life who go to work and hate it.

I think finding a balance between work and life can be extremely difficult. But I think I can balance out the both of them. i Find that when I dont balance them out I fall into sadness alot because I would be always working and not enjoying my kids and husband like I should be.

I think it's not easy to balance this two things well. You have to work hard so that you can earn more or have a promotion, then means to say sometimes you will have less your personal time. I think today people have suffer heavier pressure than before. Especially when the economy doesn't go well, people have to work harder rather than spending money and time to have a travel to relax themselves.

I try to maintain a balance between work and family. Both give me pleasure, but each day, I make sure to step away from my work for a little while to enjoy my family. The way I see it, as much as I do enjot working, my family means a lot mre and gives me much more joy. I have to work to pay the bills, but I want to spend time with my family.

woo, i think what u are gossing up is the same for most of us.we just need to work for a living, not living for work. ok, that's both right. the point is what is the proper amount of work or how hard we should try is suitable. i love my job, but i also love my life..

As far as Im concerned, the purpose of work is to make a living.Work is quite different from career. For most of us,we just earn our bread. We need to work hard to maintain our job or probably make some achievements. But we should always remember the most important thing in our life, that are health and emotion.____ thats very personal.lol We shouldnt sacrifice our health.Good health is one of the premises of happy life.I work hard and I enjoy life as well.

Well, for me this is the hardest thing to do - finding that balance. So, so far I have either worked which allowed me no time for my friends and family, or I remained unemployed for short periods in order to regain my health.
That is why now I am trying to find a way to earn a good income on the net - to be able to better keep the balance between work and social life.
I had the stress normal office-based job is causing me. I feel drained of all my laughter and vital powers after work.
wish me luck! :)

Well..i work for my family n not for my company..!!Dats wat i think..i work in my company nit pays me for my work not for my unhappiness.Though i haven't yet entered d professional world n is still doing my masters..u may say i have no practical experience of workplaces...but i never used to take stress..however my parents scold..i would never..!!Its necessary dat u enjoy ur work ...n if u don't all d problems u said is gonna happen..!soo d common saying..."work hard but party harder" is d best way..u can't deny stress but u can vent it out. When i would enter d professional world..there r things i have vowed never to do.These r...
Never bring my work home..and..
Always spend quality time with family n friends during weekends.
n alwaz b happy n enjoy my work.

I've been working for almost one year now and I can say that gradually I'm loosing time to enjoy my life. I hope in the next couple of months I will learn how to balance my life, so that I will have a continues growth - professionally (financially) and personally.

I think I maintain a healthy balance, as do the other members of my family, but some people would have no clue what to do with themselves if they were not working. I know someone who if they did not have a job and work as much as they do would probably slump into a depression and end up as a slob on a couch doing nothing. Some people just need to stay busy.

uhhuh ure right..we have to be able to balance work n life, and that's what im doing right now. there was two options of work i had before, i chosed my work now. because its more fun and lots of creativity in it. i can improvize my skills on computer stuffs but also working.
i work as an internet instructor on the biggest telecommunication company in my country, although im just a contracted employee. but i love my work, because i still can have a life. its not really stressful coz i still can go online while im working. also we have more than 1 day off every week.
so yeah, i hope i can always balance my work n my life..nice topic!

I'm not a workaholic and i dislike workaholic.Generally, people consider workaholics are positive enterprising, but i regard them as shortsighted.why?for example:a workaholic works 16 hours every day,but only live to 40years old;but a common one works 8 hours a day but live to 90years old,I don't think the workaholic gives more contribution than the common one.The latter not only finishes his work but also has time to company his family enjoying life. There is not only work in our life,we shouldn't kill time but we also should understand how to enjoy the happy life and how to make our families happy:)
