Do you open your gifts on Christmas day

We open our girfts after lunch on Christmas day, usually around 3 in the afternoon. We've always done that and even as a child it never bothered me not opening them earlier - it gave me an extra boost of excitement that my 6 yr old now gets himself:)

We have a tradition where we all open one special gift on Christmas eve. We open all the rest of them on Christmas day after we have a big breakfast. My kids are older now, so the presents can wait a little bit instead of getting up at 5am and tearing into the packages lol.

I let my son open one on Christmas Eve, I'm really bad about not being able to wait to give gifts, I want immediate gratification when it comes to that, so I have to try really really hard not to give them early. One year I put all the gifts on layaway just to keep myself from gifting early. What can I say I love to make my family and friends smile...:)

Of course that is the usual time isnt it lol.

We usually open ours up on Christmas day.

Both. We have a small family get-together on Christmas Eve and we exchange gifts then. The kids get to open their gifts from mommy and daddy, too. On Christmas morning, it's just the four of us. The kids drag us out of bed just before the sun starts to come up. We put coffee on and sit in the living room so that the kids can open up their gifts from Santa. I have the camcorder going and the digital camera out. Then hubby and I get our coffee and start opening and removing security wires from boxes and installing batteries into toys.

We open them at midnight on Christmas Eve, so since its midnight that means it is the first hour of Christmas Day, so its in between.

We open are Christmas Morning sally around 8 if i can get the kids to sleep in that long
