Do you rinse or wash your mouth after eating chocolate?

Yes, chocolates are delicious. But they do contain a lot of sugar and are quite sticky - which means they will cling to gaps between your teeth etc. I never rinse my mouth after eating chocolate, but some people say its good as it helps wash off these stuck bits of chocolates from your teeth. If they remain there they are a source of infection and tooth decay! On the other had washing off the chocolate means that you no longer enjoy the nice after taste in your mouth! What do you do?

I guess I have honestly never really thought about rinsing out my mouth after eating chocolate. I suppose it's probably a good idea, but I never do it. I just try to make sure I'm brushing my teeth a couple of times daily, so that way I know my teeth are at least being cleaned regularly. I have never really had any problems with my teeth, so I guess it works for me!

I still wouldn't wash my mouth. It just takes out the sweetness... for me, the taste of chocolate lingers for a while even after I'm done eating it. Washing my mouth would get rid of that wonderful taste. :D

No, I don't rinse or wash my mouth after eating chocolate. But after I taste chocolate for a while, I will drink a glass of water. It may be the same effect as rinsing mouth.

You're right - drinking a glass of water has the same effect
