Do you think kittens would taste delicious as an alternative for stew?

A native friend of mine once told me they did this and it tasted awesome. Kittens in specific.

I suppose if it doesn't bother you to eat a 'domesticated' pet, then it would taste just like rabbit stew! Though I'd expect it would taste better with a slightly older animal. Veal is tasteless compared to beef for example.
A butcher I knew says when skinned you can't tell the difference, which is why rabbits are sold with the head or fur on! (To prove it's a rabbit)
Personally I couldn't eat a cat or dog knowingly. I'd much rather have it as a live companion.

I didn't say I'd never tasted either, I said I hadn't eaten it knowingly.
I remember a few years ago a take away was shut down after the remains of several dogs were found in the rubbish. They claimed it was used for their personal consumption but it left us all wondering....... did some find it's way into the meals we bought!

You haven't tasted a cat or dog? I'm telling you their delicious and for a cheap price too. In fact you don't have to buy them at all sometimes if you know what I mean ha ha. Most importantly, thanks for your response ^^.

I hope this is a joke. If not your native friend is a creep and a loser. I am 70 years old and have read many books on other cultures and have never heard of such a thing. Most countries that have "natives" don't have cats. And the ones that do know that cats help keep the rat population down. In this country in the 1800's in the old west killing a cat was a hanging offence. Cats were so rare that they cost a lot of money. If this is true it must make you so proud to have a brave friend that's not afraid of any kitten.

There are significant cultural variations in what people consider acceptable to eat. Each culture has a "rational" explanation, too, like not eating cats because they kill rats, which is not applicable or considered in other cultures.
I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat any meat, but when animals that are not endangered are killed in the least cruel way, I don't understand why killing some animals provokes such an emotional response that doesn't apply to other animals. Why in western society is it wrong to eat snake and dolphin and cat and dog and horse, but okay to eat cow and pig and chicken and lamb? Why is someone who eats a cat a creep and a loser? Some cultures think those who eat cow or pig are creeps and losers. Who is right?

Killing a cat is just wrong? Really? I don't know. I wonder, is it wrong to kill a cat because it is wrong, or is it wrong because people say it is or because they're cute. Hmm... Thanks for your response anyway ^_^ appreciate it.

What do you mean by tbh?
Anyway, they're not pets. They're animals. A-NI-MALS. Does it mean that if you have a pig as a pet and you eat it, it now means that you're sick? Come on!
