the 140 character micro blogging twitter turned 3 on Mar 21st. That's one thing that is catching up on news. For the last 2 months, the twitter users are doubling making it a happening web site. What you do on Twitter is just say what you are doing today and that keeps your friends and fans to see whats happening at your end. A simple but cool idea that's what it is making Twitter worth a 250 million $$$ What do you guys say?

Twitter is definitely really interesting. It's hard to say whether or not it's a passing internet fad (like almost all popular sites) or a service that is here to stay. It's quite remarkable that a company with essentially no business plan has been so successful. And so many celebrities are "tweeting" now!! It's so strange, I almost feel voyeuristic. You can read what your favorite public figures are doing throughout the day, and sometimes even communicate with them. When I first heard about Twitter, I was really baffled by it. Why would people want to post thoughts under 140 characters, when standard blogs already existed? Didn't really make much sense to me. But the appeal has stayed, and the convenience and relative non-commitment has really been popular. From actors, to sports figures, to politicians, to the kid in your math class... everyone is tweeting. Do you think Twitter is here to stay? Do you think it's a good thing? Is it becoming mundane?
