My hair is really thin and it feels very dry and split at the top. I don't want to cut it real short to fix it and I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a "good hair product" Do you have any ideas?

My girl says rub a little oil in your hair. A very small amount. Don't brush your hair when its wet. You can comb it though. And don't use your fingertips to shampoo your hair , cause the fingernails will damage your hair. Palms only. Also jello works good on hair. Mix a pinch of jello mix in with your conditioner.

Ummm, I'm a woman but I wouldn't do all that to my hair, to condition my hair I use a bit of lard and let it soak into the scalp before I wash my hair @redhotpogo

Coconut oil is really good for your hair and skin. It doesn't cost much and you only need a tiny bit.

My grandma use to rub aloe vera on her scalp and she has really nice long hair. She would cut the aloe vera cross-wise, rub it on her scalp or cut it length wise and take out the contents which she puts on her scalp. I think having a healthy scalp leads to having a healthy hair. You can also try shampoos that have aloe vera extracts.

Try to find a Dr. Leonard catalog. They sell all kinds of things. Some are medical and some are other things. One of the products they sell is stuff to make your hair fuller. My daughter bought it and it worked. They are not very expensive. If you can't find the book go on line.

you have to spend more then that sweetheart if you truly want to fix your hair. You have to get on a large very comprehensive system to fix your hair. The cheaper stuff is just a scam and won't really change the overall "problems" your hair has. They may temporarily fix them but not forever. $$$$

Nioxin line is one of the best, I used to work in a salon and saw it work wonders. This company also makes a multivitamins which includes niacin to fix the inside out. You may have to get it from a salon (the most $), an aesthetician (like myself) or stylist or online.
