Yep, I've heard that recommendation many times. Many people have three minute sand timers in their bathroom. It is a good practice.

No, it only takes me 1 minute, sometimes less.
i think it is enough and it is the most important of how to keep your teeth heathy that you should choose the right posture to brush.
i have been told that the right posture is brushing from the root to cuspal, and repeat again and again, which would make your teeth strong and clean.....

I do but not always. I love brushing my teeth and find it very refreshing if I brush longer. there are times when I am really in a hurry that I have to brush in alittle 2 minutes.

yes i always follow to brush for 3 minutes and my brush span life always is up to two months only. the dentist advice is up to three months but mine goes up to two months already. that is why sometimes i ask my bro who lives at london to send some toothbrush for alam mo naman sa pinas, the products are not well made i have to admit. so back to the discussion yes i make sure that i brush my teeth for three minutes and my child ony brushes a minute or less. he can not stand the toothpaste long yet but we will teach him that when he grows much older

our dentist gave my kids a timer so yeah we brush for however long we are supposed to not sure how long that really is though since it's one of those sand timers that you flip over.

I dont know how long I brush my teeth, but it is probably not the recommended amount of time. My eletric toothbrush used to have a timer on it, but I dont know if it does now. I think there are soem things that a toothbrush can time for you, but I dont know if all of them have a timer for how long you should brush your teeth.

I have never timed it so I do not know. I use an herbal tooth powder instead of toothpaste. I brush but then leave some of the tooth powder around my gums. It has good herbs in to, like white oak bark to kill the germs. I feel like I'm getting five or ten minutes extra as that works into my mouth. So I probably get at least three minutes in if you include that.

Unless you actually set a timer, it's hard to brush as long as you're probably suppose to. I know they make toothbrushes now that sing until you can stop brushing. I agree with the above noter, I brush my teeth until I feel like they , along with my entire mouth are clean. I don't know if it's always 2-3 minutes or not.
