Ok, so it's the big day. You're going out to buy your first car. What car would you pick. Considering it is your first, you have to have a small price tag in mind. What brand and model? Let me know!
For me at the moment, for a first car I would probably go for the VW Golf GTI. I'm not sure about the price but I don't think it would be a lot compared to other cars on the market.
How about you?

a first car defo wouldnt go for a gti, maybe a normal golf as ya be charged more in insurance than the cars worth especially if its a new car.
I started with a 1 litre mini, and ended up after few years souping it up with a 1.8 turbo charged engine bucket seats etc etc would leave any car standing but only thing that gave a clue to what was under the hood was the quad exhausts and upgraded braking sytem and wide tyres.
Was a great project, now after 16 years of accident free driving, I have a 54 reg porsche 911 4s model with the tear drop head lights and also a 55 reg new shape megane coupe the convertible (converted to LPG), tho when am doing short runs I borrow my families 1 litre corsa to try and off set my carbon foot-print
