Would you travel for him/her?

In a way I traveled for my fiancee. Granted he was only about 45 minutes away from me when we first met, online. That was when I was in college. When I moved back home we were 2 hours from each other. But by that time we were far enough into our relationship that we knew the driving was worth it until we were engaged and living together. So now here we are, I moved those 2 hours to be with him. We're getting married in June. So while I didn't do a lot of traveling, what I did do was worth it!

I think I'd really have to spend some time getting to know the person and probably a ton of phone conversations and such before I ever decided to travel out to seem them. It is possible that I would do it. However, I'd also be skeptical about the person most likely and that would make me wary to travel out and see them without bringing a friend of my own along for the sake of both my safety and peace of mind.
