Have you ever found a stray dog?

What did you do with it? A little pup wandered up when we were camping looking starved and skinny. He had some scars from another dog biting him that had already healed. He was covered in fleas and needed to be bathed immediately. We asked around to the other campers to see if anyone was missing a little black pup. Nobody claimed him and we told the people who ran the camping area that we had him if anybody asked about him. He was as friendly a little dog as I have ever seen. Our other dog, Zippy, a minpin, started to get along with him immediately. We decided if nobody claimed him, he was going home with us. We bathed him and fed him and got him a collar. He slept in our camper that night even though he was not yet spoiled and didn't want to sleep in the bed with us. He is a cross between a daschund and a chihuahua as near as we can tell. He has enormous ears and when he holds them up he looks like Batman. So that is his name. He loves everyone and especially loves children to hold him. He only weighs about 10 pounds. He has become very special to us and is now about 2 years old. We think he was about 6 months old when he found us. Do you have a stray dog story? Or even a stray cat story that is interesting?
