I'm planning to resign my current job and decided to work at home. It's been a couple of months since I started browsing different work at home programs, but it seems that scams are everywhere here. I don't want to join with those having registration fees but in the end their is no real or actual job offer and youre being ripped off. I'm really afraid of losing money here. Can anyone teach me and can give me a legit sites wherein I can earn money to support my living as I am planning to resign and give up my 9-5 work?

Earning money just through online work is though. Just type in 'work from home' and browse the discussions. Just here on mylot there are millions of people asking the same questions, and most of them are scammed. I would never give up a solid job for an online one as you don't build up any funds for when you retire, get sick or anything like that. You can never take a holiday either because you won't get paid if you do. Working from home is nice as an extra income but there are few people who can actually earn a full income on it (and they have to put in top effort; they would earn the same with less hours in a normal job).

Thank you, Malsun. You are so right about the nowadays economy. My boyfriend has been looking for a job for weeks. He is willing to take on virtually anything, for little hours and little pay and still he can't find anything. It's just plain ghastly. All we can do is try, work hard and pray things will become better.

I feel the same way. All these sites that pay pennies for your efforts is good for leisure or as extra income. But it cannot take over your full time serious jobs. Especially in this bleak economy, If you are lucky to have a nine to five job, I suggest you stick to it. There are millions of others who are not as lucky as you and wouldn give anything to get hold of a steady job.

Go to ratracerebellion.com. They have many screened job leads for any type of work at home job. Such as Customer Service, Transcription, Data Entry, Mystery Shoppers, Artists, Bloggers, Writers, Accounting........the list goes on. You have to sign up to be a member and they put out a new bulletin every week, sent to your email on current job openings. They do mention that each company they list has been screened to be a legitimate work at home position. There are many customer service jobs. But you have to check each site to see if they are hiring at the current time. Some hire you as an employee, some hire you as an independent contractor. Some have paid training. You have to qualify for the job, i.e. proper computer equipment, etc.
Another place to sign up at is WestatHome.com. They are constantly needing cust. serv. reps. You are hired as an independent contractor with them.
Ratracerebellion is your best bet though, because they have hundreds of screened job leads you can go through. You'll have to navigate the website for awhile to see all that they have to offer. Good Luck!

The ScamoMeter is the ratio of the total number of scams on the internet compared to real work at home jobs.

And no, you do not have to bid on jobs. If you navigate around the website you will see that these are legit jobs. Especially in Customer Service where the demand is so high.

Here. I have been searching this a bit. I wish I had a reference link, but since I do not. Check out Mentoring For Free. www.mentoringforfree.com, it is run by Micheal Dloughy, he does free training, pay special attention to his 5 pillars thing, you can listen to his call archives at www.mffaudios.com Best of luck to you. My name is Chysom, you can tell them I sent you if you like. They don't mention companies unless they have gone bankrupt, and there over all training is generic, he did really well, and wants the same for as many people as he can manage, because it makes him feel good.

Hello, I think you might want to check out http://www.odesk.com/referrals/track/goddess888
This site has helped me a lot. I am able to pay the bills, buy food, have some extra for shopping. They pay by the hour and you can juggle as many work as you can. You might want to check it out. I have been working here since September of last year and I am proud to say that I am making quite a decent amount.

Sites like InboxDollars that pay you to read e-mails are pretty legit but there's no way you're going to make a living there. Otherwise I'm not really sure.

For real jobs try this ones:
http://www.odesk.com/referrals/track/Brahma
http://wwww.getafreelancer.com/affiliates/MetatronSar
I have used them both in the past, and still do, but in a different way.
before you quit your 9-5 job, you have to build your online profiles and get regular projects. That takes some time. Try them, and once you gain experience and positive feedback, you will be able to.
They are both free to join if you are looking for work.
I am putting together a blog about real work from home, but it will take some time yet before is finished.
Hope the info was useful!!

I don't think its the right time to quit your job. During the period of recession where people are losing their jobs I think you should continue with your job and go for part time income instead of full time. There are many online money making sites but sites paying genuinely are very few. I think you should stick to your job and try for additional income or else you will end up with from 'some income' to 'no income'.

I wouldn't give up your day job just yet! Make sure that you are established in your online work and have recieved good payment from it first. I currently do not have an offline job. So, I have to turn to the internet to make a little money. It's slow going for me. But, I do hope you find something that works well for you!

I will check these companies out. I would not give up a job that I had right now though. There is so little work going around that you may not be able to find a differnt job. I would just use the internet job as extra money and not let it interfer with you day job. This is a hard task for some people. I have been writing a paper and doing posts. I can tell you one thing that there are more post than there is paper been written. Then again I like writing for myLot better.

Let the truth be told i do not really think that there is a site out there where you can really make my from home. I mean all this stuff out there just seems like a lot of junk and people are not really wanting to help you...they just want ot help themselfs.

I am sure that there are many legit sites out there in the net. Though it takes time to identify them. Mylot is a good place to be in as it open the gateway to many earning sites. Many members have publicly say and made it good in online earnings. If you are computer savvy, there will be no problem at all as I have read that people makes good money on specialize field in their blogs.

I suggest that you should find another new job instead of working online. Aactually, working online can earn money but not a big amount , even though it can support your life, but it can't give you better life . Eventually, you also need to find a new formal job, but that time, you will feel that you has wasted this period of time. So, earning online just is a hobby, you would better treating it as a real work. For a hobby, I promise mylot is a good choose. Don't be confused.

This kind of work is the only legit on line work that I have been able to find. On the other hand I am loving responding to the different post. This is nothing like a job. My writing is even starting to improve. This group also makes me think about things in a new way. I am always coming to meet differnet people with differnt ideals. There is something that can be learned from everyone, you just have to be open to the lesson that is to be taught.
