PCOS - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, it's a case where in a woman is not ovulating at all.. and i have it.. i'm just not quite sure what to do.. the complications (if left untreated) are obesity, type 2 diabetes, and infertility. the cause is unknown, which is a bummer.. i'm now taking pills (to regulate my menstruation, hopefully) and Metformin 3x a day, which is a med intended for diabetics.. i read online that it can no longer be cured and u have to take meds for maintenance.. but a doctor friend of mine who specializes in pediatrics but obviously have studied about PCOS said that i just need to take some hormonal balancer (by injection) and i will be ok since he realized in my lab tests that my cholesterol is high and almost everything is going way out of line.. what do u think? can u give me some insights if u know anything or u're experienced having PCOS?

I have PCOS as well... It's probably one of the most frustrating things ever. I'm not currently undergoing any treatment but I do take Fertilaid, FertileCM and drink FertiliTea. Many women with PCOS have successfully gotten pregnant after using these products so I'm hoping it will do the same for my husband and I. I wanted to try something natural before getting prescriptions and such.

I have PCOS. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago when my husband and I were trying to get pregnant. I take Metformin and Yaz. I started developing new symptoms a few months ago so I went back to the Dr. I was told I was showing signs of insulin resistance. I was told do follow a Low GI/Diabetic diet. I have lost alot of weight since I started this. My Dr says losing weight helps decrease symptoms.

I'm sorry I can't really help, but I've just been diagnosed with it. I have been having trouble losing weight, have been GAINING weight with 45 minutes of exercise 5-6 times per week and have been missing periods for the last 6 months! I have multiple cysts on my left ovary and a 4-cm large cyst on my right (which they are watching closely). I'm on my 10-day course of 10 mg Provera pills, trying to get my periods to come back. I'm on day 8 and nothing yet. Then I have 3 straight months of birth control. Lab work, office visits and pelvic ultrasounds a couple times between now and July. They only thing that they think is a little concerning is people usually get their periods with PCOS and I've had nothing.
