Teenage Discrimination

Okay.I don't think I spelled "discrimination" right.Oh well.Anyways,is it just me or are all teenagers treated the same.I always feel like when I walk into a store they're watching me like I'm going to do something wrong.I was walking with my baby sister to get a paper, and people give you a "arent-you-too-young" look. And I always hear people talking about "teenagers" as a whole. It's like, woah! Back it up there. If you look enough, there are a lot of decent teenagers out there.I don't know.Mabey I'm just paranoid. What do you think?

If you are not one of those trouble making teenagers then you have nothing to worry about and you should not be self-conscious about people being on their guard when you enter a store. You can easily put them at ease by selling hello and showing them you are polite and not there to make trouble. If these places are stores you frequent regularly like the place you got the paper you can develop a relationship with the workers and proprietors.

You just have to lead by example and get your fellow teens to follow suit :-)

People do get over suspicious of teenagers. But I work in a grocery store/hardware store - truthfully I am more suspicious of the adults sometimes but I do agree - I get the same looks. I am more suspicious of the 20 year olds and around there.
