For every discussion we get the option of rating the discussions positive or negative. Is it necessary to rate each discussion that we reply to? Does this effect the earnings in any way? Does everyone hear rate the discussion and everyone's replies always?

HI Kavita
It really depends on the user. Personally, I rate all the responses positive even when they tend to refute my mind. Its my way of thanking them. I haven't rated anyone negative whatsoever except for 2-3 occasions when the user went overboard with racial and offputting comments.
Mylot has give us this privilege and we must not exercise it wrongly. Hope you are liking this place. Feel free to ask me anything you want to.
Hugs.

It is not necessary to rate each discussion that we reply to, same with rating those who replied from our discussions. Rating does not also increase your earnings.
But I do rate the discussions I respond to. Well, I would not answer the discussion in the first place if I do not find it interesting. So whenever I rate, it is almost always positive.
For those who responded to my discussions, I do read what they have to say and if I like it, and even if I do not agree to their opinion but they have a sensible response, I give a positive rating. I do not give a negative rating because I believe that everybody is entitled to his/her point of view.
Exerting effort of reading and rating them does not make me earn more, but it's my way of thanking those who took time reading my discussion topics and posting a response.

I do not look at the ratings part form an earnings perspective. It's more about expressing your appreciation for the interaction. I always rate the people who i interact with positively. For a newcomer the ratings are important as they see thier rankings and star go up as they go on interacting here. It plays an important role in encouraging them.

That just would depend on you if you want or not and that you are not oblige to do such. And rating discussions has nothing to do with your earnings and that it will not affect your earnings if ever you won't rate them. The decision lies in you alone.

It is not necessary my friend. As you would haver seen other responses to the discussion also.
Rating your discussion means that there is a good chance of seeing your discussion in the "today's top discussion" section. Which means that you could attract more people to respond. Having more response always give great satisfaction as well as pleasure, isn't it?

Hi Kavita,
How are you?
Mylot is providing rating facility to its members for utilizing the same properly. If we find the discussion is useful we can rate it positively and if you find the discussion or responses is abusive then we can rate it negatively and can report to mylot administration too. If somebody purposely rating other members negatively, they will get punishment from mylot by reducing their own ratings. So we have to be very careful while go with negative rating. I rate everybody positively.
Happy mylotting.

Hi dear, I am not too sure about whether there is any difference in our earnings for rating the discussions but whenever I rate a discussion I always rate it positive. I have not rated any discussion negative till now. So also for the replies that I receive for my discussions.
