do you believe in fate or destiny?

I think there is such a thing as FATE....this just doesn't pertain to love -- meeting your soulmate or meeting your true love...but this also pertains to other things in life... like passing in a university, getting your dream job etc...
I've come to realize that sometimes even if we try our very best to achieve something, if it's not meant for us then we can't have it.
But of course, when one believes in FATE, i doesn't mean that that person will stop trying and just be passive and think that anyway if it's meant to happen then it'll happen...
I still believe that whatever comes our way, we must still try our best to overcome the challenges...at least in the end, we won't have any regrets.

I am inclined to believe that some things are meant to be and some aren't and there is nothing we can do about it. Although action is required from us it is another Force that is guiding us. I've noticed that when I am going in the right direction things go smoothly and the opposite can occur when I am heading in the wrong direction, that is against the 'flow'.
I believe in fate; some things are predestined for us I think.

I do beleieve a lot in this, I have seen with many people even though they work very hard they can't get what they wish, and others can do this with a very little effort this is all destiny...
I believe it a lot and everyone someday is going to believe it...

Hi Sweetseoul !
You are right, I do believe in destiny. I struggled a lot in life for every thing. I was jobless for almost one year I tried every where I tried my best. It was time that I almost gave-up and frustrated.
Unbelievablly I got a job with huge company which I could ever thought of it and my position is very high. This is my destiny and I finally been here where i ment to be.
So I truly believe in destiny........
After struggles you will get good things......
After good things you will get struggles and bad times..............
this everybody's destiny somewhat!!!!!!!!!

I used to think I can be anyone that I want to be or have anything that I want to have if I really work hard for it. I've been carefully planning my life, been doing my very best to become someone that I aimed to be but I failed. 
Now, I realized I am not meant to become that person that I've been dreaming of. I guess, that means fate has got another plans for me. I am not destined to become successful in my career, nor am I ever going to be the best daughter that my parents could ever hope for though I tried my best to become one. Sigh... life can be so tough huh! 
Sad to say, destiny works and it works against me

I think that you have already said lot of things about the destiny. I tend to agree with you on what you have mentioned here.
I do believe in destiny. But do not rely too much on destiny. If we fail to achieve something, we feel that it is our destiny and may be it is true...! But I do not think that without enough efforts one can get anything. So when I fail, I try to check if I had done enough efforts and if yes, then I take it as my destiny. I think that one should not stop making efforts.

no i do not. i think there is absolutely no such thing. if it were true do you think it is someone's fate to be raped or murdered by some social degenerate? or a child's fate to be born into a family that abuses him/her? or that people are born only to be beaten and sold into slavery for others gain? if i believed any of that then it would be a really dismal world indeed. i think people have free will within the boundaries of the law and they either choose to obey them or not and then they "seal their fate" so to speak as a result of their actions.

Hi, sweeteoul, you are right, for wonderful life, the most important point is that we should struggle for, not leaving any regrets!Life is mysterious, sometimes we believe in fate, but it seems to make fun of us, on the contrary, it has to make us trust it!
Anyway, just try our best, everything is okey!

I agree with you. In my opinion, to a certain extent, it is our fate that decides our life. Some times, if we work hard also we will not get the thing. But sometimes, we will get good things without any work. Our success in life is mostly related to fate. If fate is not good, whatever we do, we may not succeed.
But as you said, we should not sit idle thinking that it is fate that alone decide our success or happiness. We have to work hard, then only fate also can help us to succeed. Otherwise, fate or destiny alone will not help us.

I thnk each and every person has his own destiny that god has already decided and we cant help it.I can say this thing coz i've experienced many times that even if we try our level best we are destined not to succeed but sometimes without the hardwork we get what we want.So i think it is not in our hands.

To a certain degree, I do believe in fate or destiny,however,you should always try your best in everything you do and if up to a certain point of trying and still youhaven't got what you really wanted,then that's the time to realize that this is not meant for you.

yeah i think there is, my fate was meeting my wife, and having kids. we dont choice our fate, but i think our destiny we can set out for and aim in the right way.
