How to improve English quickly?

I have learnt english since i was in middle school but still have poor spoken and written english. I feel very depressed and don't know how to improve . Many people say you have to practice everyday and need perseverance . Could i have breakthrough in english and maybe i need a native english partner to practise english . Who knows. Is there any suggestion ? Many tks!

First,you must have confidence that you can learn english well,english is a language,take it easy,and learn it for fun
actually,it's better that you have a native english partner,but hard for many people,so just read loudly everyday,practise makes perfect

The only way to improve your English is to read a lot of books in English and to speak the language regularly. By watching english movies you will be able to learn how to speak the language properly. But my nieces and nephews learn this language by watching english cartoons. They pick up very fast and can speak very well too.
