It's Monday morning again...

The week has barely started and I am already looking forward to Friday! Perhaps it is because this Friday is payday and I am barely holding on. This time last year things were much better as I had two jobs. I had more money but absolutely no time to do anything and my creative life was seriously suffering. I still have a ways to go to finish my home but it is at least livable. Friday just can't get here fast enough!
Do you dread Mondays?

It all depends on what is going on at work whether or not I dread Mondays. If I know we don't have clients coming in I don't really mind Mondays, but if we have clients or one or both of my bosses have to go I court, I dread it cause one of them always either forgets what court there in or some document and its never racking cause when that happends they are constantly calling and I can't move from my desk.

Yeah it would make my job easier if they were. I can only do so much to help them. I manage the calendar and verbally remind them of things. I dont know what there deal is sometimes.

You just have to do your best at managing your responsibilities and let go of the things you can't change.

That does not sound like fun. Too bad they aren't more organized.

Hi, Canellita.
I don't dread Mondays near as much as I did when I was working full time. But it is the busiest day of my week right now. I just have myself a little over scheduled on Mondays these days, but it always make for good nights sleep because of it.
Well, my creative friend, I will always be one to say that it is very important to keep a balance in life and provide for creative outlets. If you are anything like me, everything just seems somehow 'off' when I'm not getting enough creative expression.
So, are you building your own home? Do tell.

Ohhh, I'm sorry, Canellita. That's right, I have read you mention Katrina in other messages.
I am originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but was not living there during the storm. I feel your pain, and have loved ones still living through the fallout of it all.

I wish I were building my own home! I've dreamed of doing just that ever since I was a little kid. After Katrina my family added an efficiency apartment onto my grandfather's house to give us all a little more space. I have a place to sleep and half a bathroom and absolutely NO storage. I got my porch and steps built before the end of the last year and now I have to finish the bathroom and start on the kitchen.

It wasn't that bad here, but on the other side of town was a whole other story.

I dread listening to my daughter make excuses as to why she is "too sick" to go to school this morning. She only makes a fuss because there are areas like writing that she needs help in and just starts a panic mode of excuses not to attend school. But yet the healthroom has yet to call to say she's truly ill.
So I guess I dread monday - friday listening to her excuses, thank goodness hubby is home half the week in the mornings to help deal with her.

LOL, kids can really drive you crazy. My nieces and nephews are home schooled and the 6 year old is the world's biggest procrastinator. It's a challenge getting kids interested in learning but you just have to try and figure out a way to spin helping her write better and so forth by coming up with activities centered around her interests.

Yeah that's why I don't home school. I can't get her to listen to me for the love of anything unless bribes are offered and that's a bad habbit to get her motivated. Yeah I dunno, I think she gets all worked up and then doesn't want to try. But when I try to get her to do it, it's in one ear and out the other.

LOL, that is just the way kids are sometimes. I had one today that came to the table in the cafeteria and I asked if we were going to have a better class than last time and she said yes. We got upstairs and I called her over to get her stuff to complete her project and she got up and stomped over to me. Long story short she ended up getting put out of class and sent to detention after stomping her feet from her chair for several minutes and driving the rest of the kids crazy.

Mondays mean so many different things to different people. Do you think the day will ever come where people stop dreading the arrival of Monday?

Yeah, It was a bad monday for me too. I get every other Friday off which is awesome and I got last friday off which means it was even harder to go back to work today and I have a full week ahead of me ha I'm kind of spoiled now. They actually say Wednesday is the hardest day of the week. I don'y know though. It's a tough call. In college, Thursday was the hardest day. And for a whil eI dreaded Saturdays lol.

I started feeling that Wednesday hump last year when I was teaching six classes and working a second job on the weekends. I get weary just thinking about it, lol.

Well, my Monday is actually on Tuesday, so I felt like I was dragging and dreading things this morning when I got too work for sure. Then you get the day going and it ends up not being too bad so you go home and say "That was not too bad. Only 4 left to go." But for me, my payday is tomorrow so that makes my job a lot better as well, and in this time and economy it never fails for things to continue to feel like they are tight financially more than usual.

Hello there, before i used to cram because it is Monday again and i have to go back to my work again. This was my scenario for the past 4 years. But now, i am much better, let's say relaxed mode.
Although being a Home maker is not an easy task, i still get the time to relax in between working at home and working online. I guess like most married woman here who are trying their best to save money, will be just like me.
Anyway Happy Monday to all, just like you, looking forward to reach Friday, although not a payday for me, but a time bond more with hubby. Happy Mylotting!

I'm not dreading Mondays as i was when i was working. On Mondays I'm always looking to see if anyone out there is hiring and sending out my resume and doing that as much as i can right now. If this Friday is payout here on mylot i better be working a lot more on here to get to my 10 dollars an i hope i can do it. I hope to stay very active on here then and so i can get the 10 dollars. It will help me out a lot right now because I'm needing some extra cash to pay off some medical bills.

It is my last week of school and I have ohh so much to do. I was dreading this day for a while not only is this the first day of the week it is the first day of my last week to get everything done. I think that we end up leaving too much to be done on Monday and that ends up being the day that you run around like chicken with it's head cut off but feel like going back to sleep. It is such a gloomy Monday where I am at. One of those lazy Mondays. I hope that you are able to finish up your house the way you want. Invite me over for the house warming party. LOL. Realy I like cake. LOL

Monday used to be my day to get caught up on emails and do laundry and stuff because I was working from home but Katrina changed all that. I have to go next door to my grandfather's to do laundry and the machine has be going almost non-stop for the last week since my brother and his three kids arrived.
