What do you think about Youtube "partners"?

Before Google took over Youtube, it really was "You Tube", "Broadcast yourself". Videos became famous because of sheer happenstance, and users gained a following by the content of their videos. Now, Google has made "partner" channels, in which they support -and by "support", I mean "spam everyone with"- videos or channels. Instead of allowing Youtube to run itself, Google has seized control, and now changed it from the free willed internet, to the company-controlled marketplace.
What is your opinion? Are you happy with the way Google has changed Youtube?

Did you think anything less, i agree with you i was never a big fan of watching a cat flush a toilet back in the day, but every once and a while there was something worth viewing. The freedom aspect was what made it great i could produce a six minute video myself, bands could upload videos or performances. The potential was there for greatness. Then it went corporate.
