Because I can

Have you ever been doing something for no reason than - because I can? It stuck me the other day that so many negative and needless things stem from this attitude. Most wars for example occoured because someone could kill the other people for their own gain. Now for the question. Do you ever stop and think about the things you could do to help other people instead? Rather than doing the things you 'can' for yourself, how many of us focus on the needs of those around us? Would love to hear of some examples from people who may have made someones day!

yeah. i think that i have done so many times in my life. but i feel like my life is with out much meaning if i do things for just the reason i can do it and nothing else.

do you not think it would be worth trying to find meaning though, though positive action towards others?

no one does nothing for a nothing. when people do things, it is for a reason. the reason might not be apparent, even to the person doing it. nevertheless, we wouldn't be the rationale thinking creatures that we were built to be (well some of us, at least). there are people who say they do thing because they can, but when they say that they are only being females (even if the are males) with attitude problem. now that's what i hate! especially when i guy does it. there are guys DO it all the time. it ticks me off royally, and is difficult for me to be around someone who thinks like that. normally people around them get very inconvenienced from them doing things just because they can.
