this is one of many rasons I am so disgusted with most main stream news. I cannot and will not belittle Candada's involvment and help in afghanistan. they have been there since the beginning and have suffered far more loss in terms of life than we have there. So along come these bafoons on fax's late night show "redyeye" who toss out some insults to their efforts after the Canadian defnse minister anounces they may have to take a break to get their military back in order.

oh yeh, it's more jokes mixxed with news, than just news, but it was still kinda wrong and no matter how it was meant, it was taken as an inlult. I know people up there who have lost friends and family in Afhganistan. I watch Fox more than other main stream news, but even they get me rieled up and don't always report everything. I get a good supliment to my news diet on the net now.
I'm just "being fair and balanced."

Red Eye is NOT a serious show, I love Fox News but I never watch it because it's so dumb. Don't worry, I wouldn't take it seriously.

It is an especially HOT topic here in Victoria, BC - there is a major military base here and many of the people who live in Victoria are in the military. Canadian soldiers have been fighting in Afghanistan for eight years and have spent the last four in the country's most violent region. Canada has lost 116 soldiers in Afghanistan, the highest casualty rate among allied countries fighting there.
