My reputation value declined from 8 to 7, what does that mean?

I have a reputation star now. I found it was 8 yesterday, but today it is 7. I wonder what that means? Does it mean that my postings are of less quality than before?

There's really no way to know why your star rating dropped down. People sometimes even hit the negative sign under a post on accident! You may have even been rated down by people who disagreed with your opinions even though that isn't a valid reason. If you don't feel your postings are worse than before, then I think you should just continue on as normal -- star rating fluctuations just happen.

I think mylot re-calculate everybody's reputation every day, for China user, this time will be happened about 5:00--6:00 PM. I don't how to calculate, but I think there are some elements is avaliable, response's length, anybody's rating for you, response's amount of your discussion. So, just do it serious, you reputation will raise again.
When I achieve 100 posts, i got level 6, this is bad for me since I want a 9. But just several minutes latter, I raise to 7. After one day, I raise to 9 directly. I am a little happy.
