Yes, this question is hovering around my mind for last one week or so. It came when I saw a discussion in which an honourable lady was asking about her court case about her step child.
People these days can ask question on internet and they do get responses too! The question is that do they get more assistance or do they get more confused because earlier with no internet, people couldn't share their problem with many but still they could manage to sort out their problem but these days people are getting into more problem even if we have internet connection!
What do you think?

Sometimes, we, ourselves, know the solution to our problems. It is right under our noses but because thoughts are all juggling inside our head, we tend to fail to sort things out in a more rational way.
Venting out our feelings can sometimes ease up our minds and calm us down which results to a clearer mind. Thus, the way seems easier than it did before.

I want to share an incident with you. When I was in school, one of my friend asked me put two pencils to make a cross. He asked me to concentrate hard and think that there is a tons of weight is placed on the pencil. After a minute or two, I opened my eyes and tried to lift one of the pencil, I was amazed that I was feeling it rather heavier than usual! Strange!
We make our problem a bigger one by thinking and thinking!

Hmmm...not really lazy. Well yes, sometimes we are. BUt there are times wherein we are just too confused to think, too tired to think because we are weighed down by our problems.

REFERRAL AND REFERENCE
Through internet we gain two (2) major benefits. It justly like one (1) academic book, where you can see the referrals listed at the last page before the back cover page. It works similarly, then.
In while for the reference, it comes from the responses insights as output to their input. At least, the poster got in two (2) ways of direction to wisely choose for their own decision making, which are; pros and cons. The beauty is, there always be new things found in all of their responses carried and weighted in the respective response. Especially, the systematic candor sharing the links for furtherance.
PROBLEM REMAINS ACCORDINGLY TO ATTITUDE
The attitude of poster plays the major role in determining their problem, either sorted and solved OR remains unresolved. The acceptance towards the pros and cons given by their responses should be dealt in one wish, which is for solution finding. If the poster keep on exaggerating the unnecessary point of problem and at the same time added "banging" comment on one response, I mean not focusing on solution finding, absolutely they won't find the concise and perfect solution to their problem.
Life that plays; just imagine like this way, a person who is looking and seeking others help seems like a water bucket needs to be filled up with water. So, it must rest waiting under the water tap. Then water can flow into it and not the other way round by waiting on top of water tap.
MY CONCLUSION AS MY ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION
YES, people get more assistant by benefiting internet and the world of internet networking. They can get white if they know how to mix the seven (7) colors; Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.

Good question in your quality comment, sanuanu. I'm very glad having your further question and in great ? making the answer.
The difference between referral and reference;
A referral is a person recommended to someone or for something, the source of your getting input. Let say, you take a quote from Albert Einstein. While the reference is the historical moment of Albert Einstien's saying; the 5W's; when, whom, who, why and what. Finally, you describe it in your own words and not practicing plagiarism.
As a good fresh reference, an example;
TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: A problem with photo upload on myLot....????
1. My referral : myLot FAQs at http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq10.aspx#5
2. My reference : http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1951418.aspx
Just observe ~ how did I 'referral' it from myLot photo guideline and I described it in my own words. I am responder No. 2 in that discussion. Actually, all of the related issues had been written by myLot but not many know how to 'referral' their problem.

Beautifully written. Although it took me a while to understand your response but it was beautifully written.
The only thing I would like to ask is that what was the difference between referral and reference?
Well said, one has to be beneath water tap rather than above it!
How easy it is to mix all colors. Take every colour and mix them, the mixture would always be white but we can't miss any one of them.

I think so, people tend to get more assistance
with their personal problems with internet connections
available throughout the world. Sometimes when people are
not around and you need some answers to your urgent problem.

I personally love the Internet and I think it is the greatest invention of all time. I think that it is definitely easier to quickly obtain answers to questions. The downfall is that not everything on the net is necessarily true and correct so I guess it can get confusing on that respect. I think that as long as you carefully check out all sources the Internet can make life a lot easier! It sure makes the world seem smaller!

Generally what happens, here question put by the person who is having busy life. Who is not getting enough time to share his/her sorrow with loved ones. Because of busy schedule he/she cannot come nearer to any person, that can be the reason. todays human become busy in Television and computer so dont spare time to build relation to others. At that time internet is an easy option to get solution for that type of people. so person is finding happiness in physical things and not interested to build bond with other human beings. Have a gr8 day!

I do not think so. Many people do not want to spend their time helping others online. This is because online many people are the person they wish to be. And, many people do not want to listen to peoples problems. They get enough of that in real life. Of course, there are other people who want to help people. This depends on how much of a help network you have in real life. Some people do not have a network at all, so must rely on the internet.

i think they do.the reasons are many.like on the internet one doesn't know the other so he doesn't hesitates to tell anything.the other reason is there are no presumptions or prejudices when you reply on the internet.there is no obligation on the one replying that he /she has to reply.it is by their own interest that they reply so the advices which come are always genuine.....
i really think today internet is a better way of solving personal problems(no matter what it is)............

I think yes there are so many social sites around that people can find help for any of their problems i think. for example it is mylot.also here we get solutions for our problems and daily life's personal things which we most of the time can never share with people we know or close to us.but we can easily share it here as we have never seen anyone and can be guilty or shy of many things though.

I think it is a good idea to share our problems here. They are good counselors here who are trained to tackle all sorts of problems. It is up to you to take the advice of these counselors. But I have seen many people in mylot who are burdened by personal problems and are willing to share it with others. They get good responses with many different advices. Problems shared are problems halved. It will at least ease some of the pains in our chest.

Hi sanuanu, I love internet for I could always get my problem solved by searching information and knowledge from the relevant sites. And very often we could acquire what we need urgently within a few second. It is very much better and convenient than those very earlier days before the popular using of internet. Unlike beforetime we could only write to someone, or the newspaper, or the magazine, or the radio broadcast to as for assistance. And we usually have to wait for quite some time to get the reply.
Yeah, we even could throw a question which couldn’t solve onto the net and surely lots of hospital and helpful people from all over the world would come and drop their answers respectively there instantly as like we have done it here. Yeah, it would be more problem with the responses received as we just need to take some trouble and time to read and to sort them out. After sifting we then could have some suitable ones to help in solving our problem.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

I guess with internet communication is easy and fast. Now the question is do you get reliable information through the internet or misleading information. That is still for the person to judge.
I look at this way. With internet, you get the chance to think about certain thing because of several views that can presented to you related to issues at hand. You can just derive your conclusion from that and take appropriate actions.
But definitely, it is still always reliable to seek for an expert advise.

Ofcourse! Like I am looking for an advise on my eyes suffering from glaucoma. I find several sites, one said, that it is complete harm free that you have a glaucoma. You just need to live on eye drops, the other said that you need to get it operated asap!
So, eventually I have to trust my eye specialist for it!
