saurav ganguly was one of the great batsman and a very good captain for the indian cricket team.. he has made india win so many matches.. it was really sad when he was not selected ion teh team but now he is playing for kolkatta knight riders in IPL nad it will be fun to see him back in action...

Yes, Sourav WAS a great batsman in his prime and could tear apart the opposing team bowlers with his strokeplay. However he has aged and has retired from international cricket and we should wish him happy retirement. However he could contribute to cricket in other ways by coaching young and talented kids especially at the school level so that one day they could play for the national team.This way the bench strength could increase and very talented youngsters could one day take the place of the ageing Tendulkar and Dravid who are due for retirement in a few years time.

I am also a big fan of saurav ganguly. He was one of the greatest player in Indian cricket team.

He is known as DADA in india. He is not only a big player.His attacking attitude just like a tiger.He believe in god.Please remember the NATWEST trophy.At that tournament, he was the captain of indian team.In the final match of the natwest trophy, England made 325 and then India went to bat.Idnia Scored only 165 when they loosed 5 wicket. Sourav was also out and he sat in a chair at the balcony and hanged her two leg on the relying. He did not left this place and did not release his leg from the relying.He is so superstitious person.At that time, He thought if he left this place, then his team may loose the match.

He was a great player once but i dont know why the Indian cricket board skipped him from the selection, i too vote him for his best commitment as a opening batsman in India.
