I don't want to lose both but thankfully in my case I don't have to choose because I can keep both. I married my best friend who is also my lover.

Wow! I'm inspired by this. Lover and a bestfriend. I really pray to God that I can have that as well.
I am very happy for you.

Yes, I'm just so blessed to have both and I'm so thankful for it. I hope that you too will find someone who can be both your best friend and your lover.

In the first place, why do I have to choose?
I don't get the point why people are asking people to choose between two people. (Sorry repeating the word people thrice.)
Actually, I can have them both in my life without hurting anyone. It is not as if I am choosing whom to marry--my bestfriend or my lover. In that case, it's obvious that I'd choose my lover.
Anyway, all I want to point out is, we don't have to be in the point that we need to choose between our bestfriend or lover or any other people per se. They are significant in our lives and it is not necessary that only should be part of your life.
I know, I have not really chosen one because I can keep them both. You can do, too. It's a matter of decision really.

Yes it is a matter of decision and a pretty hard one at that. And there are people have to go through it. For eg. Suppose your girlfriend and your dont get along at all and cant stand each other even for a minute and your girlfriend asks you to choose one of them. It does happen.

Well said lloydbelleza, yes I agree with you why choose when we can have both even if these are two different people, they are both precious to us and having them both makes life more worth living. I just got lucky to have both in one person, bit even so, aside form my hubby, I still have my second best friend and she means a lot to me. Yes its a matter of decision and when circumstances call that you choose one, the wisest decision would be to try as much as you can to find a way to keep them both.

I will choose lover.
because lover can turn into best friend.
but best friend can't be lover.

i disagree. anything can happen. there is no such thing as bestfriend not becoming a lover. :)

I would rather not choose anyone but will try to keep them both.
But in case, I will have to choose between them, I will keep my lover since we can eventually be the best of friends.
