Have you ever fallen off your bed while sleeping? Know anyone who has?

I remember as a child I rolled one time too many a few times and ended up on the floor.
I woke with a start sometimes midway between the floor and the bed. Id jump back up and try to crawl back into bed before anyone could hear and find out what had happened. Id be in for a ribbing from my siblings if they did.
Sometimes my parents would hear and come looking to see who fell but I'd be back in bed trying to look so fast asleep that they would not recognise it was me.
I remember the thought of a monster reaching from under the bed and getting me would also play a part in how fast I'd get up and dive back into bed.
Did this ever happen to you as a kid or even as an adult?
By the way... Has it happened to any of your kids?
What's your story of falling off your bed?

Good day tjades, I fell out of my bed twice. The first was happened when I was young. I rolled and rolled until I fell and my back got hurt. The next was happened when an earthquake occured when i was sleeping. I was on the edge of the bed before the earthquake had occured. I woke up and found myself on the floor. And it did not happened again. So we must sleep tight and hold on our beds to avoid falling lol...
Enjoy posting... =)

Yes, it did and more than once. Both instances happened when I was little (about 6 years old, or so) and after the second time it happened I made a vow to myself to never let it happen again. I haven't fallen out of bed since (at least not while I was sleeping ). Good thing too because falling like that while sleeping can be a bit scary. At least I know it was for me.
The only other person I know that fell out of bed while sleeping is my oldest son. It happened to him a couple of times as well. It was some years though ago and it hasn't happened since.

I have a good story about this...When my little sister was 3 years old, she fell out of bed and cut her chin open on a little plastic waste basket. It was bleeding like crazy! My dad was out of town on a business trip, so my mom called my grandparents to come over and watch the rest of us while she took my sister to the emergency room. She ended up having to have plastic surgery because the cut was so deep. I was 9 years old at the time, but it was a couple weeks before I would sleep in my bed again. I started sleeping on the floor because I was convinced that the same thing could happen to me! Now that I have children of my own, I always make sure that there is nothing too close to their beds when they go to sleep at night just in case. And yes, my 6 year old occasionally falls out of bed. When he was younger and in a toddler bed, we would often find him half out of bed - practically sitting on the floor but with his chest, arms, and head still on the bed. He still sometimes falls out of bed so we keep a beanbag chair right next to him to cushion the fall. Luckily he has a pretty low bed though so at least he isn't falling a very long distance. That's so funny what you said about the monster getting you because I always did the same thing! If I had to get up at night for something I would jump off the bed and run. Then on the way back into bed I'd run and dive back in, trying to get my feet off the floor as quickly as possible!

Oh yes...better get those feet off the ground before the monster gets them. Ha ha ha ha.
Sorry your sister's chin was busted. Most have been an ordeal for her.
