My most favorite was our Easter egg hunts! My dad would get up early every
Easter and hide eggs in the back yard for us to find . It became a tradition, and one that I carried on with my children . I also remember alot of Easter's we would travel to my Grandmas house in Iowa, and the family getting together for
ham dinner every Easter . On the dinner table there was always butter made in the shape of a lamb , and a lamb shaped coconut cake for dessert!
I have alot more nice memories of Easters as a child . What are some of your favorite memories ?

I loved dressing up in my new Easter dress and going on an Easter egg hunt at my my house and then we would go to visit each set of grandparents and we would have egg hunts there too. We would always have a big dinner and I would eat the candy from my basket and I think I remember always having a stuffed animal of some kind, usually a duck, bunny, or a lamb. I always liked getting to dye the eggs. That's a smell that stays with you!

My favorite memories come from my granfathers house. Every Easter he would hide Easter eggs and all the kids would hunt them after we had a huge Easter dinner of ham and all the trimmings. I too have carried on this tradition with my kids and now that my kids have grown up I started a community Easter egg hunt. I have dinner here at my house but on the Saturday before Easter we gather at the city park and the teens hide eggs and the little ones hunt them. We usually have someone that donates a basket for the one who finds the most. We have a blast!
