for me, id rather have my own business or find a job which is iam the boss, yes there is, like what iam doing right now, im into networking, direct selling and a broker at the same time, i earn bigger than being an employee, grrrr my previous job was a callcenter representative, i stayed there for a year and six months. and ever since im not happy for my job because im always caught sleeping, i cant help myself not to sleep or nap. gosh, honestly its really different your sleep during night time and day time.
in your opinion, would u rather be an employee or make ur own way on how to earn?

I remember eversince I was about 24 I had the mentally to work for myself because I just hate the fact hearing a boss telling you what to do when to come to work. So I rather being my own boss.plus you get to anywhere when you want andeven spend time with your family so of course being your own bos is cool.

I have worn both hats in my years working. For more than 24 years I have worked for an employer and I must say much of the time, I enjoyed my work. I have wonderful colleagues, the work is challenging and I get paid like clockwork. But I also have to work hard and exercise initiative in order to be rated well, be articulate in problem solving, be able to handle stresses and bosses' expectations. There are some tasks I don't like to do but they are part and parcel of the job responsibility. I also have to be subjected to my bosses' mood and that's not always pleasant. But last few years, I switched from working under a boss, to being my own boss. I became a self-employed person, being an internet marketer and an investor, and working for myself. I had a lot of freedom and flexibility being my own boss. I decide when I feel like working, what tasks to do first, and I set my own priorities. No one can boss over me and tell me what to do. I really enjoy working this way, because I dictate my own working patterns. The only drawback is that I am not guaranteed a fixed salary, or be assured that I will earn enough for myself. Other than this, it is great to be my own boss, with no one to boss over me.

I prefer being self-employed. It is defiantely not easy though. It takes a lot of discipline to make self-employement profitable. I have my own schedule, but it is one that I stick to. If I tell a client I will be there at a certain time, I am there. Being punctual is really important for self-employment.

I'd rather be a self employed rather than an employee however as of this time i can't decide yet if I will pursue it today or not since I do not have yet definite plans. I have things in mind on what business I would concentrate on but I am still on research. Hope I will be able to push it in the years to come.

I am currently self -employed. I own and operate a call center. Great responsibility comes with being your own boss. I do get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that i call the shots. I set my own hours. Yes repsonsibility
is the key to being self employed.

I found a company that was looking for people to train to work at home. You work as an independent contractor. You must incorporate. You need a dedicated service line to handle incoming calls. You are paid with certain clients on a per call basis. I took this thing and decided i would find other people that may not have the cash to incorporate or have a compliant work station to take calls from. Its still in the infancy stage but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Well there are both good and bad about being Self Employed and having to work for someone else. I have done both over time, and I really miss working for myself and being my Own boss for sure. When you are your own Boss you can set your own hrs. and decide more on how you will earn more if you need too as well. Most of the time you spend your time selling something as well.
The main issue is your $$ is not always guaranteed as certain factors can effect it for sure. Then most people also have Rent expenses or other expenses not considered as well which can add up, and then there is Buying your Own medical as well.
So it is a hard choice for anyone to consider, and even though I do miss having my Freedom from having my Own Business right now I have to consider working for someone elee as well.

i got ur point honestly. running a business is not a joke, u have to work for it seriously, if not then goodluck to ur investments, and also choose a good business to start with, consider the location and what ur going to market on that particular place, and also what are the things that ur good at!
being an employee is is good, however, the income is fix, and we are oblique to work 8 hours, or else u will be noted late, sometimes we do work overtime without pay. whew, thats the bad side, LOL

I guess everybody wants to be the boss of their own. i am too but for now i dont have enough money to start my own business so i only depend on the job the company can offer me. However im still dreaming on having my own business someday and am setting goal to my self that someday i can be in that position. No matter what happens we should keep on dreaming and achieving our goal, and believe in our self.

i like being self employed because i hate working for other people especially nasty, unfair people. but being self employed has its draw backs too. like not enough work coming in and having to put money aside to pay uncle sam and keeping careful track of all of your expenses. i wish i could earn more on my own but it is just not a reality for me.

Of course there is no better choice but to let your money work for you and not your working for money. There is a big difference between the two, in being an employee you are working for money while on the other side of things money is working for you. But right now I am just unfortunate that I am one of those employees and is just aiming to become financially free someday. I have not found the solutions yet but looking forward to becoming one in the near future.

At this very moment I am on my Three years journey as an employee.. :) I wish to have my own dream bussiness in the future, and I firmly believe that with perseverance I can achieve it. It is always the best thing to be your own boss.. :)

Considering the current recession status I would prefer to be self-employed and no fear of getting fired and placed in a situation to leave a job.
If there would not have been recession then it would have been difficult to select one.
Well currently I am not employed and looking for a good job.
But it is difficult for me to get such because of market conditions.

I'd rather be my own boss. I want a flexible schedule and to have the option of working at my pace. If work stresses me out, I'll take a break. I don't have to worry about someone telling me to get back to work.
I've always aspired to be a freelance artist. :)

Absolutely I 'd like to be self-employed. For what you seed, and what you will harvest.
Sometimes, an employee will earn less than his effort.

well if u think if ur on the high position u can breath well? LOL
of course not,its very stressful to be the boss also, because the people who are on the higher level also will bug u always to give a good sale. u will stay in ur office almost 24 hours. LOL without overtime pay. its true. ive known many many managers, supervisors who are doing those stuff. and how much salaray their receiving? its really not worth it/
